Operations and Strategy Lead
About the Role
We're looking for a Portfolio Lead to bridge the gap between our Premium and Low-Cost products. Your mission will be to define a clear strategy for each segment while managing how they work together to ensure they complement one another.
Success in this role means bringing product owners together to turn a complex regional plan into a seamless reality. This is a key position that will have a big impact on business and change the way people move in our countries. We have a lot of momentum right now and even more exciting projects on the horizon!
What the Candidate Will Do
- Strategic Ownership: Work with executive leadership to set strategy and lead important, often sophisticated, areas of strategy. Keep the team motivated by explaining big-picture context for these strategic efforts, communicate top-down vision, and translate broader company strategy into goals specific to the team
- Business Sense: Lead business performance, owning operational and financial data and driving analysis to make critical business decisions. Understand interdependencies across functions, and incorporate the short and long-term trade-offs into business decisions
- Problem Solving: Seek issues that involve people, things, and processes by using logic, common sense, and data, and lead different teams in the search for solutions to these issues. Identify the root cause of a problem, as opposed to focusing on the symptoms
- Process Optimization: Help your team identify core analyses and processes, optimize them, and lead implementation across \[the region\], regularly reviewing performance.
- Product Improvement: Demonstrating team's insights, develop, propose, and stand up for the features or improvements that could improve the experience on and efficiency of our marketplace. Partner closely with Product collaborators to ensure their success in \[the region
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as a thought partner and lead cross-functional initiatives by building close relationships with global and local partners across operations, marketing, customer support, product, policy, and legal. Promote and ensure the team's voice is heard. Optimally find, suggest, and secure resources within and across functions
Basic Qualifications

- Years of Experience/Industries: 7+ years of professional experience
- Data-Driven Mentality: Guide teams through strategic decision making based on data analysis and interpretation Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture
- Communication: Spanish and English proficiency. Validated experience interpreting and communicating data to various audiences in an engaging and comprehensive, yet succinct manner. Ensure right messages, presentations, and forums to gain and cascade strategy and plans. This will include monthly business reviews, board presentations, and strategy documents
- Teamwork: Promote a team environment where individuals can communicate and contribute freely and express themselves. Maintain healthy working relationships, even in disagreement
- Executional Excellence: Strongly lead and prioritize sophisticated operations that require the support of peers and other teams and deliver results in a constantly evolving and ambiguous environment, while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Planning & Organization: Efficiently lead and implement visible, high-risk, broad-scale initiatives and delegate tasks and responsibilities across team members.
