About the Role

We're looking for a Motion Graphics & Animation Designer who brings strategic thinking, visual storytelling, and design innovation to every frame. You'll partner with marketing, creative, and production teams to deliver best-in-class animated content that inspires, informs, and drives results.

From animating dynamic brand campaigns to designing short-form content for social, CRM, and digital platforms, you'll breathe life into our messaging through typography, kinetic graphics, and compelling motion. You're fluent in industry-standard tools, have a deep understanding of brand expression through movement, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  1. Creative Storytelling: Translate ideas into impactful animated visuals that support marketing and brand goals
  2. Technical Expertise: Advanced skills in After Effects and complementary motion design tools, understanding of AI tools to creative efficiencies in workflow
  3. Executional Excellence: Deliver polished animations on time, within specs, and across varying formats
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working with designers, editors, marketers, and producers
  5. Design and animate high-performing motion graphics for a variety of formats: social media, YouTube, paid media, CRM, internal campaigns, and more
  6. Translate creative briefs into thoughtful motion solutions that enhance storytelling and user engagement
  7. Collaborate closely with producers, designers, editors, and marketers to bring concepts to life from ideation to final render
  8. Ensure brand consistency across all animations and apply visual systems creatively
  9. Work within modern creative and production workflows using tools like After Effects, LucidLink, Frame.io, and Figma
  10. Manage multiple animation projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, organization, and delivery speed
  11. Maintain clean project files and adhere to version control, render presets, and naming conventions

Basic Qualifications
  1. 4+ years of experience in motion graphics and animation design for marketing, product, or branded content
  2. A strong portfolio showcasing motion design, storytelling, timing, transitions, and typographic animation
  3. Deep understanding of content formats, aspect ratios, and motion principles for social, digital, and paid media

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience working within brand systems and adapting global campaigns for multiple markets
  2. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple deliverables
  3. Familiarity with localization workflows and international adaptations
  4. Strong communication and collaboration skills-you work well with cross-functional teams
  5. Ability to interpret creative direction, accept feedback, and iterate quickly
  6. Bonus: Basic knowledge of 3D motion graphics or VFX
  7. Adaptability: Able to shift priorities and execute multiple motion projects in a deadline-driven environment
  8. Adobe Creative Suite: After Effects (primary animation), Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro (basic editing), Audition
  9. Figma: For visual alignment and collaboration with brand and design teams
  10. LucidLink: For real-time cloud collaboration
  11. Frame.io: For feedback, annotation, and versioning
  12. Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, and Drive for coordination and asset management
  13. Slack: Team communication and updates
  14. Bonus Tools: Cinema 4D or Blender (3D animation), DaVinci Resolve (color), iZotope RX (audio cleanup)

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$130,000 per year - USD$144,000 per year.
