Market Intelligence Lead, Mobility Mexico

About the Role

The Market Intelligence Lead, Mexico Mobility is a senior individual contributor role responsible for leading Uber's market and competitive intelligence strategy in Mexico.

In this role, you will partner closely with local and regional stakeholders to generate insights that inform business strategy, planning, and execution across a dynamic and highly competitive environment. You will help the organization anticipate marketplace shifts, evaluate risks and opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making that enables sustainable growth.

This role requires strong strategic judgment, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear, actionable insights.

What the Candidate Will Do

1. Strategic Ownership: Lead market and competitive intelligence efforts for Mexico, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities that inform business priorities and strategy.
2. Business Sense: Translate market, competitive, and operational insights into clear recommendations that support planning, prioritization, and efficient resource allocation.
3. Problem Solving: Analyze complex marketplace dynamics, evaluate trade-offs, and propose solutions that support growth, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
4. Process & Data Optimization: Develop and scale core analyses and data sources to improve the quality, reliability, and impact of market intelligence.
5. Marketplace Dynamics: Monitor external market signals and competitive behavior, connecting them to supply-demand dynamics, performance trends, and positioning.
6. Stakeholder Management: Partner with cross-functional teams across Operations, Product, Policy, Finance, and Marketing to embed market insights into execution.
7. Reporting & Visibility: Prepare and present market intelligence updates for leadership forums, ensuring clear communication of key insights and implications.

Basic Qualifications

1. Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in Strategy, Operations, Consulting, or a related field within high-growth tech or scale-up environments.
2. Data-Driven Mentality: Proven ability to use data and analysis to inform strategic decisions, balancing detail with a broader business perspective.
3. Communication: Spanish and English proficiency. Ability to communicate complex insights clearly to diverse audiences.
4. Stakeholder Influence: Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional partners in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
5. Executional Excellence: Ability to manage priorities, deliver high-quality work, and drive impact with limited direction.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience working with marketplace or platform businesses: with exposure to supply-demand dynamics and competitive environments.
2. Strong background in analytics: with experience working with large datasets and applying quantitative analysis to inform strategic decisions.
