Manager, UberX Segmentation
About the Role
Uber is a technology company that is changing the way the world thinks about transportation. We are building technology people use everyday. Whether it's heading home from work, getting a meal delivered, or getting to and from the airport, Uber is increasingly a part of the fabric of everyday life. We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our US Core Operations team who is passionate about designing and building creative solutions to our most complex problems. You will work closely with our Leadership Team, and drive alignment across the entire organization, including Product, Engineering, and Customer Support.
In this role, you will help shape the strategy and optimize the segmentation portfolio - which includes finding the optimal operating point and value proposition across UberX, UberX Priority, Wait & Save. You'll design and lead high-impact projects and experiments to drive growth and efficiency - as well as support our business priority to "Go Big" with Segmentation . If you love setting a vision, leading cross-functional partners, pushing projects forward to deliver measurable and strategically meaningful results, and solving problems with data from both 30,000 feet as well as deep in the details, this is the role for you.
About the Team
Our Core Products team is responsible for managing the end-to-end P&L of our core product lines (UberX, UberX Priority, Wait & Save, Comfort, XL), optimizing the offering across various dimensions including price, ETA, etc. to maximize long term growth, and setting the long term portfolio strategy to build the products and offerings that our consumers want.
What You'll Do
- Lead the segmentation strategy for the UberX Priority and Wait & Save products balancing various dimensions across customer experience and price elasticity, keeping trade-offs across other products in mind
- Identify, scope, and recommend a solution, then take ownership for delivering on the project and the outcomes, as well as keeping leadership informed of progress
- Take accountability for project outcomes, ensure delivery on critical project metrics, and keep others informed of progress
- Analyze sophisticated data, build models, and aggregate insights to drive key business decisions and policies
- Advise senior leadership on long-term strategy and decision making by defining critical metrics, developing dashboards, and providing strategic insights
- Work with Product teams to guide the development of our solutions based on business and customer needs. Project manage cross-functional work streams for key Product roll-outs across the US. Set and measure key performance indicators for roll-outs you oversee.
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with other Operations teams as well as with Product, Data Science, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Support to ensure insights inform broader critical initiatives
