About the Role

The Uber Eats Commercial Operations team is looking for an Analytics Lead to support the Retail Commercial Operations (DCO) team. Grocery & Retail is one of the primary growth bets for Uber Eats, bringing on-demand delivery of almost anything to Uber Eats customers around the world. Our vision is to deliver a better day for our users by ensuring the right merchant selection, a reliable experience, and sustainable growth.

The objective of the Insights and Analytics function is to shape commercial strategy and operational decisions through data. Your work will directly influence selection strategy, resourcing decisions, and the productivity of the Retail commercial business.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, data, and execution, acting as a key partner to the Retail line of business. You will work closely with Retail Commercial Operations, Sales, and Account Management teams to help shape the delivery sales organization, its future direction, and strategy.

What You'll Do

Own analytics strategy and decision support for Retail DCO

  • Lead the development of analytical frameworks that inform Retail DCO strategy, program prioritization, partner selection, and investment decisions.
  • Bring clarity to complex tradeoffs by quantifying economics, long-term value, and opportunity costs across initiatives.
  • Serve as a key analytics partner to Retail leadership and senior Commercial stakeholders, contributing to executive-level discussions and decision forums.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning Commercial Operations, Strategy, Finance, and multiple XFN teams.

Lead data systems, automation, and tooling improvements

  • Scale and automate Retail planning inputs, including book-of-business design, segmentation logic, and headcount allocation models.
  • Partner with regional and global stakeholders to ensure coverage models are scalable, consistent, and aligned with commercial priorities.
  • Design and own SQL-based automations, dashboards, and analytical tools that reduce manual effort, improve data reliability, and enable faster decision-making.
  • Identify structural gaps in data, processes, or tooling, and influence cross-functional roadmaps to address them.

Set the standard for reporting, forecasting, and measurement

  • Define and operationalize scalable reporting, forecasting, and performance measurement for Retail DCO, ensuring consistency with global methodologies while adapting to local needs.
  • Elevate reporting from descriptive to prescriptive, translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Analytics, Commercial Operations, Strategy, Operations, or related fields
  • Advanced analytical and data skills, including strong proficiency in SQL, spreadsheet-based modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, synthesize insights, and drive data-backed recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing decisions across multiple teams
  • Ability to operate independently, prioritize competing demands, and lead initiatives end-to-end
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Sales, Commercial Operations, or scaled GTM motions
  • Experience with CRM and data ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce, Spark, ETL pipelines)
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or similar analytical tools
  • Experience applying AI-driven or advanced analytical techniques to operational decision-making
  • Track record of driving durable process or system improvements with measurable business impact

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$146,000 per year - USD$162,000 per year.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.
