Lead, Strategic Programs & Operations (APAC)
About the Role
The APAC Strategic Programs & Operations team deliver high priority projects across the Delivery Community Operations organization which is responsible for providing support operations for our diverse marketplace across Asia Pacific.
Based in Sydney, but working with teams in various markets across APAC, this role will lead key business priorities, leveraging project and stakeholder management skills to execute complex cross-functional projects to materially improve Uber's operations.
We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and action-oriented leader to drive strategy, planning, and operational governance for APAC Delivery CommOps. In this role, you will help support leadership in high impact decision-making through your critical thinking, strategic mindset, and data-driven approach. You should have excellent problem-solving, time-management, cross-functional leadership, and written communication skills coupled with the ability to clearly and compellingly articulate and present complex information to stakeholders at all levels of the business.
Your Impact in Role:
- Lead high priority regional and global strategic initiatives: Identify, champion, and drive high-leverage scale opportunities, such as AI-adoption, experience improvement opportunities, or new support models, serving as the central program lead for high-priority projects.
- Deliver and manage multiple deep-expertise projects: Provide thought leadership on sprint-style ambiguous problems without precedent, providing market and persona-level expertise, and sharing actionable outputs and recommendations.
- Operational excellence: Help identify opportunities in our processes and operating models, and lead strategic projects aimed at making improvements with regional and global impact.
- Drive the Strategic Planning and Business Review cycle: Lead and facilitate the annual and quarterly strategic planning and review processes for APAC Delivery CommOps, translating Uber's business objectives into clear and measurable regional programs and outcomes.
- Autonomous senior stakeholder influence: Independently own and drive relationships with senior stakeholders across all business functions, effectively influencing outcomes and aligning strategic priorities.

The Experience You'll Bring:
- Experience in strategy, business planning, operations, consulting, or finance.
- Strong financial acumen, with a deep understanding of ROI, testing and measuring success, investment trade-offs, and performance levers.
- Proven success partnering with regional and global teams to drive cross-functional execution and impact.
- Experience designing and scaling business planning processes, operating rhythms, and performance reviews.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to own and execute on multiple major strategic projects / programs simultaneously
- Experience leading project teams directly
- Advanced analytical capabilities, including knowledge of statistics and proven experience in SQL and Python.
- Experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm or in an internal strategy group within a firm that leverages data to drive influence across geographies.
- Highly structured, organized, and detail oriented approach to work
- Advanced sheets / data analysis skills with demonstrated experience building financial / economic / analytical models, both high-level and detailed
- Advanced slides / presentation skills with demonstrated experience crafting executive-ready material (presentations, recommendations) and working closely with senior leaders
