Lead, Driver, EMEA Central Operations
About the Role
Driver Operations, in collaboration with regional teams, leads our vision, strategy and execution for our driver-facing operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Operations is all about running our business on the ground and helping riders and drivers get the most out of Uber's platform. The team is responsible for driving the growth and engagement of our driver base, and continuously improving the platform experience for our customers.
Access to vehicles is the foundation of earning on Uber. Fleet partnerships are how we scale that access globally - especially in complex, dynamic marketplaces. They also enable us to progress on our sustainability and emissions reduction goals in EMEA. As a member of the EMEA Vehicles & Fleets team, you will be primarily responsible for driving projects which promote vehicle access and supply growth, improved consumer experiences, and Electrification.Delivering step-changes in these combined areas aims to accelerate growth & competitiveness in the region.
We are looking for a sharp, highly motivated individual to join our team. These roles within the operations team require a combination of project management, analytical ability, problem-solving and interpersonal skills to work together with key stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to work on both strategy and execution - taking projects from idea through to implementation.

These are some of the activities you can expect in your day-to-day:
1. Drive the strategy & execution for fleet growth and engagement, curated supply, vehicle access partnerships, and electrification.
2. Drive key growth projects and programs that cut across supply and product types, influencing key capability development around driver recruitment, fleet utilization, and fleet expansion.
3. Work with Business Development to shape and operationalize specific partnerships, including commercials and go-to-market strategies
4. Work cross-functionally in a large matrixed organization by collaborating with local teams in-market, global Product teams, Business Development, Tax, Legal and other cross-functional partners to bring new and improved product and process needs to fruition.
5. Influence the long-term product vision for the fleet ecosystem, identifying target user segments and prioritizing high-impact capabilities that expand our market presence and unlock new value for fleet partners and drivers.
6. Monitor, understand, and interpret fleet growth, engagement and experience metrics on the platform, and identify the root cause of risks and opportunities, propose multiple, practical solutions, and weigh tradeoffs to recommend best approach
7. Lead cross-functional initiatives by building close working relationships with the immediate regional team, as well as partners in the HQ Product and local Operations teams, assertively communicating and presenting ideas, findings and insights to assist and guide decision-making, ensuring alignment with business objectives

---- Basic Qualifications ----
1. 8+ years of proven experience in strategy, operations, product, and/or project management as a senior lead or equivalent role.
2. Ability to effectively manage and prioritize complex operations that require the support of peers and other teams
3. Strategic and operational problem solving and creativity; you will craft solutions that scale to multiple markets.
4. Resilience and ability to take initiative and prioritise in our constantly-changing work environment.
5. Strong analytical skills (fluency in SQL); confident using data to make decisions and build business cases.
6. Sound business judgement in understanding and dealing with business situations.
7. Demonstrate optimism, respect others, and work well in a team. Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and responsibilities. Maintains healthy working relationships, even in disagreements.
8. Professional fluency in English.
---- Preferred Qualifications ----
1. Domain expertise in vehicles, fleets, or electrification
2. Familiarity with AI or automation tools.
3. Comfortable building models or dashboards in R, Python, or Tableau.
4. Experience working with Product teams to shape or launch new solutions.
