Knowledge Program Manager, Content Experience Designer
About the Role
We're building a new way to create support content at Uber - one that's modular, agent-friendly, and AI-ready. We're looking forContent Designerswho can transform complex operational knowledge into clear, structured, beautifully designed content that helps agents resolve issues faster.
This is ahands-on builder role. You'll work with AI tools to accelerate content creation, apply structured design patterns, and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy. If you love turning messy information into elegant, usable content - and you're excited about working at the intersection of design, technology, and customer experience - this role is for you.
What the Candidate Will Do
Build & Transform Content
1. Transform legacy knowledge content into modular, action-oriented formats using AI-assisted workflows
2. Create production-ready HTML content following our design system and content architecture standards
3. Apply semantic structure and metadata to enable search optimization and AI discoverability
4. Build decision trees, step-by-step guides, and reference materials that agents can use quickly and confidently
Ensure Quality & Consistency
1. Conduct quality audits to ensure content accuracy, design compliance, and brand consistency
2. Follow established templates, component patterns, and style guidelines
3. Identify opportunities to improve standards, templates, and reusable content blocks
4. Maintain documentation and version control for content assets
Collaborate & Communicate
1. Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to validate content accuracy and complete reviews within SLA
2. Work closely with the content strategy team to prioritize high-impact content
3. Coordinate with program teams to understand policy changes and update content accordingly
4. Contribute to team rituals, feedback loops, and continuous improvement initiatives
Basic Qualifications
1. 3+ yearsof experience in content design, UX writing, technical writing, or a related field
2. Strong HTML and CSS skills- you should be comfortable hand-coding content with inline styles

3. Experience working withindesign systems, style guides, or component libraries

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience withAI-assisted writing or content tools(e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Cursor)
2. Familiarity with knowledge management, customer support, or help center content
3. Experience with content management systems (CMS)
4. Understanding of SEO, metadata, or content taxonomy
5. Background in information architecture or content strategy
6. Comfort with JSON or structured data formats
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$95,500 per year - USD$106,250 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
