About the Role

As an IAM Operations Engineer, you'll support the day-to-day identity and access management ecosystem, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient access across enterprise platforms. You'll focus on operational excellence through automation, AI-driven workflows, and bot-based process improvements, partnering closely with Security, IT, and Compliance teams to deliver scalable identity services.

  1. Administer and maintain enterprise IAM platforms such as Okta, Active Directory, Azure AD, and SailPoint IIQ.
  2. Manage and monitor user lifecycle operations - provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and entitlement management - ensuring accuracy and SLA compliance.
  3. Develop automation scripts and bot flows (using Python, PowerShell, or API integrations) to streamline IAM tasks, such as user onboarding, offboarding, and access certification.
  4. Integrate IAM workflows with AI-powered chatbots or RPA frameworks to enable self-service access requests and reduce manual intervention.
  5. Utilize AI/ML-based insights to detect anomalies in identity behavior, enforce least privilege, and support Zero Trust principles.
  6. Implement and maintain automated incident response playbooks to remediate IAM-related issues efficiently.
  7. Monitor IAM systems using dashboards and metrics (e.g., Tableau, Jira, or Google Data Studio) to identify optimization opportunities.
  8. Maintain accurate documentation of automation flows, integrations, and system configurations.

---- Basic Qualifications ----
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  2. 3-6 years of experience in Identity and Access Management operations or IT security administration.
  3. Hands-on experience with Okta, Active Directory, and Azure AD administration.
  4. Experience with SailPoint IIQ, AWS IAM, Google Cloud IAM, or Oracle Cloud IAM
  5. Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Java scripting for automation.
  6. Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP, Kerberos).
  7. Experince with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles for IAM deployment automation.
  8. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  9. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.

---- Preferred Qualifications ----
  1. Exposure to AI/ML models, RPA, or bot frameworks for IAM automation and chat-based workflows.
  2. Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and Least Privilege Access (LPA) models.
  3. Experience integrating IAM with security monitoring tools (SIEM, SOAR).
  4. Understanding of compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO 27001).

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$153,000 per year - USD$170,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$153,000 per year - USD$170,000 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$153,000 per year - USD$170,000 per year.

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$153,000 per year - USD$170,000 per year.
