About the Role

As the Head of Marketplace for EMEA Delivery, you will define the strategic vision and drive the end-to-end execution and management of Uber's three sided marketplace in one of the most strategic and complex regions. You will partner with teams globally and locally, including local country leaders and global teams to manage products, processes and systems for the region to achieve a fast, efficient and reliable marketplace locally and at scale.

What you will do

- Strategy and Influence: Define the strategic vision and roadmap for EMEA, focusing on balancing demand and supply to achieve a fast, reliable, and efficient marketplace across all local areas and countries in alignment with Product, Safety, Legal, Policy and other regional and global stakeholders.
- Product and Operations Implementation: Build and own the EMEA region wide Product and Operations perspective and roadmap, working with local teams and global Product to manage, test and scale products. Develop EMEA wide strategies and tools to implement best-in-class operational tools and processes complementing the product suite for the region.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower a team of central marketplace managers and IC's to deliver high impact and achieve marketplace metrics across the region.
- Data-Driven Problem Solving at Scale: Dynamically utilize complex data sets, analytics and market intelligence to solve business problems at scale in the region. Drive action with insights and fact-checking against real market conditions.

What you will need

- 12+ years of progressive experience in operations, strategy, product, or related roles, with substantial experience in a large, international organization.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully balance strategic thinking with hands-on, data-driven execution, leveraging both quantitative analytics and qualitative insights to solve complex operational problems.
- Proven success in building and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on coaching, development, and meeting aggressive business targets.
- Technical background in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a three-sided marketplace, particularly in a regional or global role managing a high-volume, complex regulatory multi-market scope.
- Experience with Python, SQL and/ or programming/ database languages.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse groups, including local country leaders and global teams (e.g., Product, Legal, Policy, Safety)
