Head of Courier and Marketplace Operations

We're seeking a Head of Courier and Marketplace Operations to join our Uber Eats team in Brussels. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of all things related to our courier and marketplace operations in Belgium. What You'll Do
As the Head of Courier and Marketplace Operations, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the courier experience and ensuring the health of our marketplace in Belgium. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Own the vision, strategy, and execution for all courier and marketplace operations in the country. This includes defining, launching, and tracking operational strategies to enhance the courier experience and strengthen the marketplace.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve courier pain points by using structured analysis and data-driven solutions. You'll design and implement scalable tools and processes that improve efficiency throughout the entire courier lifecycle.
- Product Rollouts: Manage the full lifecycle of global product launches, adapting them to meet the specific needs of the local market.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key operational bridge between our EMEA teams and local execution. You'll need to foster strong collaboration across multiple functions and represent Belgium in global forums to share insights and influence product roadmaps.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the Belgium Operations team to deliver results, ensuring strong alignment with central stakeholders. Please note that this role is an Individual Contributor (IC) role and does not include direct managerial responsibility.
What You'll Need
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a Startup, Strategy Consulting, Operations Management, or a similar field.
- Analytical Skills: A strong data-driven mindset with excellent commercial acumen. You must be proficient in Excel modeling, and knowledge of SQL is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to design and implement outstanding solutions to complex problems, with a focus on end-to-end project ownership.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and either French or Dutch.
- Agility: Experience in a fast-paced environment where you've demonstrated an ability to experiment, hustle, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Leadership: Proven ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across various functions and geographies. An entrepreneurial mindset is a huge plus.
