About the Role

We're looking for a senior communications professional to lead our communications team in France. The role will be based in Paris and will report into our Head of Communications for EMEA.

What You'll Do

1. Establish Uber's brand with the media and third parties and strength its reputation with key stakeholders
2. Design high profile corporate and consumer campaigns for Uber and Uber Eats
3. Manage corporate issues and crisis
4. Work with beat reporters on a daily basis, juggling a combination of proactive and reactive communications efforts that protect and enhance Uber's reputation
5. Act as a spokesperson for the organization
6. Be a trusted partner to local executives
7. Manage a team of 3 in-house communications specialists
8. Allocate resources for maximum impact

What You'll Need

01. Strong command of the media, policy, and cultural landscape in France
02. Comprehensive existing network of contacts across press and relevant institutions
03. Strong strategic capabilities and proven ability to develop proactive communications strategies that cut through and drive measurable results
04. Experience in issues management and explaining complicated topics to a wide range of audiences
05. Experienced at going beyond media relations to reach our audiences
06. Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to experiment in order to learn and identify creative solutions
07. Natural campaigning mindset; proven ability to shape and promote corporate interests
08. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
09. Ability to balance critical thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail, in the face of frequent inbound enquiries and other requests
10. Excellent news (and overall) judgment, as well as exceptional writing and communications skills

Bonus Points If

10+ years managing corporate and/or consumer communications for technology or consumer facing brands, or in relevant Government communications departments.
