We own, design and implement Uber's global banking infrastructure to ensure liquidity across all entities, optimize cash balances and support global business expansion. As the senior leader for EMEA, you will be central to this mission, responsible for landing this global transformation within our most complex region and ensuring our team and infrastructure are a strategic enabler for the business.

About the Role

Uber is seeking a Head of Cash & Liquidity, EMEA to join its' Treasury Team based in Amsterdam. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Cash & Liquidity Management, you will be a senior leader playing a critical role in Uber's evolving treasury function.

This is a key leadership role responsible for owning the complete cash, liquidity, and risk management strategy for the EMEA region. You will lead the EMEA-based team, manage senior regional bank and stakeholder relationships, and act as the primary strategic treasury partner to the region's business leaders.

Your mandate is to translate global Treasury objectives into a concrete, compliant, and efficient regional execution plan, balancing capital efficiency with the complex local regulatory demands of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

What You'll Do

1. Own the regional liquidity and cash management strategy for EMEA, including the design and optimization of complex, multi-currency cash concentration structures and intercompany funding flows.

2. Lead, coach, and develop the EMEA-based Treasury team (Manager, Sr Analyst) and our extended BPO partners, fostering a culture of operational excellence, strategic partnership, and professional growth.

3. Champion and drive the regional adoption of Treasury's global digital roadmap, partnering with FinTech to implement scalable architecture (e.g. Data architecture, TMS enhancements) within EMEA.

4. Lead strategic scenario modeling for EMEA-specific liquidity, balance sheet risk, and capital mobility to inform regional funding decisions and advise senior leadership.

5. Own the regional governance framework for EMEA cash operations, ensuring systemic adherence to all local regulatory, accounting, financial reporting, audit, and SOX requirements.

6. Manage senior-level bank relationships within the region, driving strategy on service, cost, counterparty risk, and credit lines.

7. Drive cross-functional alignment at a senior regional level with EMEA Tax, Legal, FinOps, and Accounting to ensure alignment on strategic objectives.

8. Support the delivery of various enterprise-wide projects, acting as the senior Treasury lead for the EMEA region.

What You'll Need

1. Minimum of 8+ years of progressive cash, liquidity, and systems management experience at a large corporate or multinational entity.

2. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.

3. Expert-level understanding of international banking, complex liquidity structures (e.g., multi-currency pooling, in-house banking), and Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Kyriba, SAP, FIS).

4. A demonstrable track record of designing and implementing complex, cross-border financial policies and leading technology-driven transformation projects.

5. Proven experience leading and developing a team of finance professionals.

6. Proven ability to use strategic data analysis and financial modeling to influence senior leadership and drive policy-level decisions.

7. Exceptional communication, influencing and organizational skills, strong project management acumen, and a proven ability to manage complex, enterprise-wide initiatives.

8. Deep understanding of accounting principles and complex financial reporting requirements.

9. CTP, CFA, ACT or MBA is strongly preferred.

10. Extensive prior experience working in an environment with multiple legal entities is required. Public company experience in a large multi-national preferred.
