Head of BYOC Operations, Uber Eats - EMEA

Today Amsterdam, Netherlands

About the Role

The Bring Your Own Courier (BYOC) program helps merchants grow on Uber Eats by enabling them to fulfill orders using their own delivery staff. This model expands merchant choice, supports sustainable economics, and allows Uber Eats to serve a broader range of partners and delivery models.

As Head of BYOC Strategy & Operations, Delivery - EMEA, you'll own the commercial and financial strategy, as well as the execution of this program, balancing merchant success with sustainable growth for Uber. You'll work closely with Sales, Account Management, Regional General Managers, Strategic Finance, and Product teams to scale BYOC, optimize portfolio mix, and inform P&L decisions across markets.

This is a highly hands-on leadership role. You'll spend most of your time driving execution and cross-functional alignment yourself, while also managing a small team and developing their capabilities to deliver on critical priorities.

What You'll Do

  • Define and execute the EMEA strategy for the Bring Your Own Courier (BYOC) program, aligning commercial, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end program management, including planning, performance tracking, and cross-functional delivery with Sales, Account Management, Finance, and Product teams.
  • Advise regional leadership on portfolio decisions and investment priorities across delivery models to optimize growth and profitability for both merchants and Uber.
  • Improve consumer and merchant outcomes with innovative tech solutions.
  • Shape strategy using financial modeling, competitive analysis, and consumer and merchant insights.
  • Balance local market needs with regional solutions, scaling what works across markets while localizing only where proximity and specificity are required.
  • Manage and develop a small, high-performing team while remaining hands-on in strategic execution and stakeholder engagement.

What You'll Need

  • 10+ years of experience across Strategy, Operations, or General Management roles within global technology, logistics, or consulting companies.
  • At least 3 years of people management experience, including responsibility for developing and scaling small, high-performing teams.
  • Delivery of strong commercial and financial outcomes in close partnership with Sales, Account Management, Finance, Product, and regional leadership teams.
  • Advanced strategic and analytical skills, with hands-on experience in business modeling, P&L ownership, pricing and monetization strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience defining and executing multi-country business strategies, ideally balancing commercial, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Deep understanding of merchant, restaurant, or retail partner economics within on-demand, logistics, or platform-based businesses.
  • Ability to translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Proven success influencing portfolio or investment decisions across cross-functional or matrixed organizations.
