About the Role

Uber Direct is one of Uber's fastest-growing businesses, enabling merchants to power last-mile delivery from their own channels across grocery, retail, e-commerce, and more.

We're hiring a Global Strategic Operations Analyst to support the Global Strategic Operations team and report directly to the Global Head of Operations. This role owns how global operations performance is measured, understood, and communicated - turning complex data into clear narratives that drive decisions across leadership, regions, and product teams.

This is a high-ownership, highly cross-functional role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and operates comfortably at the intersection of data, strategy, and executive storytelling.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Ownership: Lead the reporting cadence and business narrative for global operations (MBRs, QBRs, newsletters)
  • Business Planning: Develop relevant operational KPIs and OKRs for the business, and define targets that are realistic yet raise the bar on performance, enable visibility through scalable dashboards and reporting infrastructure, and monitor performance and trends.
  • Stakeholder Insights: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across local and global teams to facilitate deeper understanding of operational performance, trends, and opportunities.
  • Advanced Deep Dives: Lead robust analysis on broad topics (e.g., reliability, profitability, supply health) to inform decisions and shape strategy. Use data to break down ambiguous questions into actionable next steps - translating business challenges into scalable solutions
  • Global Coordination: Partner cross-functionally with Global and Regional teams to organize and facilitate connectivity through operational reviews, best practice sharing sessions, and deep dives.
  • Own the Global Ops Narrative: Synthesize operational performance, risks, and opportunities into clear leadership-ready narratives for global reporting cadences like MBRs and newsletters.
  • Define and Track What Matters: Develop global operational KPIs and OKRs; set ambitious yet realistic targets in partnership with regional teams and Product; and build and maintain scalable dashboards and reporting infrastructure to provide visibility across teams.
  • Drive Insight → Action: Lead deep-dive analyses on priority topics (e.g., reliability, profitability, supply health), breaking down ambiguous questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations.
  • Enable Global Alignment: Partner with Global and Regional Ops, Product, S&P, and Finance to facilitate operational reviews, share best practices, and conduct targeted deep dives.
