Earner & Marketplace Lead - Central and South America
About the Role
The Earner & Marketplace Lead for Central and South America (CASA) is a key member of our Delivery Central Operations team in Latin America. This role focuses on optimizing and scaling both the Restaurant and Retail businesses across eight countries.
You will connect regional strategy with local execution, overseeing Earner and Marketplace performance to ensure a balanced, efficient, and high-quality ecosystem for everyone on the platform: earners, merchants, and consumers.
This role reports centrally and works closely with the General Managers of Retail and Restaurants to align strategies, drive growth, and deliver a seamless experience across lines of business.
With more than 10 direct reports across the region, this leader will own core P&L components and OKRs, including delivery timeliness, experience metrics, and the growth and health of the courier supply funnel.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional team: Manage, coach, and support a diverse cross-country team of 10+ professionals. Set clear goals, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture of ownership, data-driven execution, and continuous improvement.
- Own marketplace performance and operational levers: Monitor, analyze, and optimize key indicators such as supply growth, balance, and delivery timeliness to maintain a sustainable and efficient marketplace.
- Design and execute regional strategy: Translate company and territory goals into actionable strategies that boost growth, efficiency, and the overall experience for earners and customers.
- Partner with business lines and leadership: Serve as the operational connection between central operations and the Retail and Restaurant GMs. Align priorities, share insights, and co-own initiatives that impact both lines of business.
- Drive process excellence and innovation: Identify gaps, design scalable solutions, and lead cross-functional projects that improve quality, reliability, and cost efficiency across markets.
- Use data to guide decisions: Apply analytical insights to forecast marketplace needs, address challenges proactively, and inform strategic decisions with a metrics-driven mindset.
What You'll Need
Basic Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in operations, consulting, investment banking, or high-growth technology environments, ideally with exposure to multi-country operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL or other analytical tools.
- People management skills: this person will lead a team of 7 direct reports across LATAM.
- Proven ability to make data-informed decisions and operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and communication, with the ability to align diverse teams and senior leaders around shared goals.
- A balance of strategic thinking and operational detail-orientation, with the ability to shift between high-level problem-solving and hands-on execution.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and action orientation, with the ability to turn strategy into measurable outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience managing large teams across multiple geographies and influencing in matrixed organizations.
- Background in designing or executing marketplace or logistics strategies within delivery, mobility, or on-demand platforms.
- Demonstrated track record of P&L ownership, with clear results improving margins, efficiency, or customer and earner experience.
