Director, Strategic Finance Delivery, EMEA

What You'll Do

- Lead Financial Strategy and Planning: Serve as the primary finance leader for EMEA Delivery org, driving forecasting, budgeting, and performance management aligned to Uber's balanced scorecard of growth, profitability, customer experience, and industry leadership.
- Partner with Business Leadership: Work directly with the GM of EMEA Delivery business, and the country leadership teams to guide investment decisions, manage the P&L, and ensure efficient deployment of capital.
- Provide Data-Driven Insights: Connect financial outcomes to operational performance, competitive dynamics, and market trends to influence executive decision-making.
- Shape and Execute Strategy: Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and engineering leaders to translate strategic priorities-such as affordability, innovation, and new business lines-into actionable financial roadmaps.
- Develop and Scale the Team: Grow and mentor a high-performing finance team in EMEA, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and innovation.
- Drive Organizational Efficiency: Evolve planning, forecasting, and reporting processes to meet the needs of a complex, fast-scaling business while maintaining financial rigor.
- Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, HR, Tech, and Communications to ensure alignment between strategy, compliance, and execution.
- Champion Innovation: Lead efforts to modernize forecasting and performance management through automation, AI, and data analytics.

Basic Qualifications

- 12+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Finance, corporate finance and capital allocation
- Experience at a high-growth enterprise-preferably in a sales-driven and marketplace environment
- Proven success building or leading Finance functions
- Proven track record of delivering business results and managing large, complex P&Ls
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
- Deep knowledge of capital allocation
- Strong financial modeling skills and experience with financial planning tools
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience, especially with Sales, Ops, HR, and Strategy
- Excellent communication skills, executive presence, and a strategic yet agile mindset with a bias for action
- Passion for marketplaces, technology, and solving complex operational challenges at scale
