About the Role

We're looking for a conceptual, hands-on designer who brings ideas to life with precision and craft. You should be comfortable fluidly moving between idea and execution. This role focuses on executing and designing deliverables across campaign, CRM, and digital surfaces, transforming creative concepts into high-quality, on-brand executions. This role will blend art direction and design craft, supporting campaign and brand initiatives from concept through delivery.

You'll collaborate closely with art directors, senior designers, and marketing partners to ensure that every piece of work, from layouts to toolkits, reflects the Uber brand at its best. This designer is a doer and maker who takes pride in craft, consistency, and thoughtful design systems.

What You Will Do

  1. Partner with senior designers and art directors to develop and execute conceptual ideas that ladder up to larger brand or campaign platforms.
  2. Design and adapt creative across integrated channels, including digital, CRM, social, and experiential touchpoints.
  3. Support in crafting visual systems, toolkits, and design guidelines that ensure consistency and scalability.
  4. Participate in brainstorming and creative development sessions, bringing strong visual instincts and cultural awareness.
  5. Translate creative direction into high-craft executions, maintaining attention to detail in every deliverable.
  6. Assist with production design tasks, including versioning, resizing, and prepping files for delivery, ensuring all outputs are brand-accurate and pixel-perfect.
  7. Present work clearly and confidently to creative leads and cross-functional partners.
  8. Help maintain and evolve the Uber brand through consistent design application and fresh creative thinking.

Basic Qualifications
  1. 2+ years experience as a designer or art director for an advertising agency or in-house for a global brand

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in campaign creative
  2. Strong visual sensibility with the ability to concept, design, and execute across mediums.
  3. Expertise in Figma and Adobe suite application expertise (motion or 3D experience a plus)
  4. Ability to balance conceptual work with production-ready deliverables.
  5. Organized, pixel-perfect attention to detail, and able to work quickly under tight timelines.
  6. Strong understanding of typography, composition, color, and digital design systems.
  7. Understand how to follow brand guidelines and work within a design system
  8. Ability to design according to business and technical requirements and comfort with ambiguity and changes in direction
  9. Portfolio of beautiful, compelling digital and brand oriented work
  10. Fluency extending ideas above and below the line (ATL, BTL)
  11. Experience designing for different audiences (B2B, consumer)
  12. Experience supporting toolkit development or scalable design systems for regional teams.
  13. Experience working on integrated brand or campaign work, with exposure to art direction or photo/video production.
  14. Understanding of how to scale ideas for global deliverables
  15. Experience in digital marketing (Email, in-app, SMS/PUSH, paid social and display channels) best practices
  16. Degree in design, communications, marketing, advertising; or equivalent
  17. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and pivot quickly when needed
  18. Familiarity with Google Docs and Slides

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$104,000 per year - USD$115,500 per year.
