Uber is looking for Automation Specialists to expand its Team in Krakow.

The Krakow Center of Excellence is taking a new highway to become a major Technology Hub in Central & Eastern Europe, focusing on Process Optimization, Data Analytics & Automation.

About the role

You will write scripts to automate actions of varying sizes and time-horizons, from self-operating dashboards to entire business processes, fully automated, end-to-end.

As Automation Specialist, you will ensure i) your analyses are contextualized, data-driven, pertinent, ii) your automations are properly maintained and adapted to evolving requirements.

You will break down business requirements into technical tasks to deliver work iteratively and incrementally, aligning your prioritizations with the Analytics & Automation Operations Coordinator.

In essence, the Team helps Uber to scale and best serve its users by performing work around two main pillars i) Analytics & Automation - data science, data analysis, query & dashboard creation, automation of business process, ii) Process - design, execution & optimization of business processes.

Located in Krakow, the Team is centralizing work for Uber Rides & Uber Eats, covering two mega-regions, i) United States & Canada, ii) Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

This experience gained as Automation Specialist may also, going forward, open doors to plenty of new opportunities across the world, via the Uber Mobility Program.

We're offering a hybrid model of working (60% minimum based out of our Krakow office, 40% optional work from home).

What you'll do

• Write queries, build self-operating dashboards, automate entire processes, end-to-end
• Suggest innovative approaches to solve complex business problems, at scale, following the best practices in terms of quality and time management
• Analyze business requirements or suggest improvements, proactively
• Conduct root cause analyses, propose data-driven strategies, then design, build, maintain and enhance automatized processes
• Present your work to Stakeholders and adapt your communication to a variety of audiences, using either technical or business terms

What you'll need

• Good knowledge in Python, with the ability to write code to build self-operating dashboards or automate business actions, work with API endpoints and use Pandas Library
• Knowledge in SQL, with the ability to select, clear and transform dataset
• Ability to analyze datasets accurately and storytell
• Knowledge in creating Flows (ex.: uWorc, Lucidchart)
• Analytical and data-driven approach for solving complex problems
• Excellent written and spoken Communication (in English)
• Ability to work on your own initiative independently (proactive), in Group (excellent Teammate) and with Stakeholders
• Motivation to learn all along the way and improve continuously Scripts, with SQL and Python, to automate actions of varying sizes and time-horizons,
