Contracts Manager, Uber for Business

We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our Uber for Business Legal team. With strong attention to detail, they will manage a wide range of sales contracts, statements of work, evaluation, and non-disclosure agreements. The Contracts Manager will provide strategic negotiation, risk assessment and management, and contract drafting support on global agreements. The role requires strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills with clients around the globe and an ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.

What you'll do

  • Support the global Uber for Business sales organization and handle the review, drafting, and negotiating of a wide variety of contracts, including but not limited to commercial sales, strategic relationships, promotional, and data privacy agreements.
  • Establish strong working relationships with sales teams and leaders, and lead negotiations on deals across multiple regions, including U.S. and Canada, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Support contract practice standards, operating procedures and systems that enable the broader team to scale and work more efficiently and effectively.
  • Be an active and trusted business partner, and ensure the provision of timely business focused advice to business clients by identifying potential legal issues and mitigating risk.
  • Work with a highly collaborative team, taking the lead on project management and contract management processes, including working to scale existing processes that handle contractual relationships through their lifecycle.
  • Drive standard methodologies in multiple legal projects, ranging from drafting contract templates, playbooks, contract management policies and legal support processes, with the goal of providing efficient and timely legal support to a growing sales team.
  • Operate with significant autonomy and discretion in communicating with Uber business clients and external customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of contracts administration experience in a law firm and/or in-house environment or relevant experience.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$168,500 per year.
