Cash Payment Operations Manager
About the Role
Cash remains a vital payment method in the INSA region, catering extensively to unbanked and underbanked users. The unique regulatory and operational landscape of the INSA region, including localized collection methods, vendor management, and specific reconciliation challenges, requires focused operational excellence.
We are looking for a Cash Operations Manager to join the Global Cash Ops team, focused exclusively in INSA. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, execution, and localized support of cash payment operations across all lines of business in the region. This is a critical role focused on ensuring the stability and efficiency of local cash processes, adherence to policies, and quick resolution of operational blockers specific to the INSA markets.
What you will do
- Operational Monitoring & Execution:
- Perform daily monitoring of key cash metrics (e.g., collection rates, arrear reconciliation status, checkout success) for INSA markets on both the earner and spender side, identifying immediate issues and escalating complex problems to the relevant stakeholders (Risk, Central Ops and CommOps).
- Execute and ensure adherence to standardized Cash Operations processes within the INSA region, including documentation, process training, and operational checklists.
- Localized Problem Solving:
- Act as the first point of contact for resolving day-to-day operational issues related to cash collection, deposits, and escalations in local markets, focusing on speed and accuracy.
- Identify and document specific local pain points and nuances related to cash handling (e.g., arrear/underpayment performance, local PSP integration issues, regulatory changes, driver collections, etc.) and communicate them clearly to the regional teams.
- Reporting & Data Support:
- Own the creation of routine operational reports (daily/weekly/monthly) that track the health of cash payments, arrear status, and KPIs for cash in the INSA region.
- Support the L3/L4 managers by pulling, cleaning, and preparing data for deeper ad-hoc analysis on collection trends and process efficiency.
- Process Compliance & Improvement:
- Map out and document existing local processes accurately, suggesting small, incremental improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with local city operations teams, finance teams, and external cash collection vendors/partners in INSA to ensure smooth, end-to-end operational flow.
