Capital Allocation Operations Associate, LATAM

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a central function within Operations, dedicated to supporting the optimization of the Uber Rides marketplace across Latin America (LATAM). You will excel at modeling with large datasets, designing experiments, and rolling out new product features to ensure marketplace efficiency. The team works to understand Uber's strategy through a combination of internal and external data. You will work closely with Product Managers and Global Operations to build groundbreaking products that impact Uber's business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Strategic Support: Help develop, lead, and implement a strategy to achieve business priorities across the LATAM marketplace.
  • Centralization & Automation: Complete and optimize core analyses and processes, and scale them across LATAM, regularly reviewing performance.
  • Problem Solving: Identify the root cause of risks and opportunities, propose multiple concrete solutions, and weigh tradeoffs to recommend the best approach.
  • Resource Monitoring: Build and supervise key indicators to ensure business performance and investment efficiency.
  • Product Improvement: Proactively search for new features or improvements to enhance the marketplace, measure their impact, and collaborate with Product teams to implement launches.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain productive working relationships with cross-functional collaborators across operations, finance, and product to scope and test initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Python to work at scale with large datasets; experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and testing.
  • Communication: Ability to interpret and present data to various audiences in a succinct manner and translate technical terminology for non-technical team members.
  • Executional Excellence: Ability to efficiently accomplish multiple tasks in parallel while maintaining high-quality work standards.
