Account Manager, Eats SMB
About the Role
Sales at Uber means navigating ambiguity, earning trust fast, and solving problems that don't come with a script. It's not about pushing a product - it's about building long-term partnerships in a fast-changing environment.
As an SMB Account Manager for Uber Eats in the Southwest US, you won't just keep the lights on for our restaurant partners; you will act as a strategic consultant helping them unlock new revenue streams through our rapidly growing ads and marketplace solutions. This role is fast-paced, highly autonomous, and balances the excitement of driving immense revenue growth with the challenge of managing a dense, high-volume portfolio. If you thrive in a structured, corporate environment with predefined playbooks, this won't be the right fit. But if you are resilient, resourceful, and energized by the messy reality of doing big things and owning your outcomes, this is where you'll grow.
What You'll Do
- Build and grow long-term partnerships with a high-value portfolio of SMB restaurant partners, taking full ownership of retention and expansion within your book of business.
- Navigate ambiguity and internal complexity to unlock ad sales revenue, product adoption, and location expansion across your territory.
- Consult confidently on complex partner challenges, using data-driven insights to pitch Uber's advertising platform and demonstrate clear business value.
- Manage pipelines with urgency and discipline, identifying partner risks early and working quickly to protect revenue and maintain account retention.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations teams to synthesize partner feedback into insights that actively shape our platform roadmap.
- Adapt your approach constantly based on shifting market dynamics and imperfect information-there is no one-size-fits-all playbook here.
Raise the bar for the team by showing up with absolute accountability, hustle, and a team-first mindset to hit quarterly revenue and adoption targets.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a B2B, client-facing role (such as Sales, Customer Success, or Account Management).
- Experience navigating the customer lifecycle, including prospecting and uncovering new opportunities within an existing client organization.
- Experience communicating value propositions, managing client objections, and navigating sales barriers to secure commitment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or a strong interest in digital advertising, ad sales, or e-commerce marketplace dynamics.
- Ability to think strategically and use tools like Google Sheets or CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus) to analyze data and prioritize accounts based on impact.
- A self-starter attitude with proven grit and the adaptability to pivot quickly when priorities change.
- Strong systems-thinking skills to resolve operational friction while maintaining a focus on high-impact revenue generation.
