Account Coordinator (Annual Plan)
About the Role
As an Account Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day execution of GDP's LATAM merchant strategy by making sure commercial initiatives are implemented correctly and operational requests move from intake through resolution. You will work closely with Account Managers, merchants, and cross-functional teams to keep priorities organized, deadlines visible, and execution at a high standard.
Success in this role requires more than completing tasks. You will be expected to understand the business context behind requests, ask the right questions, use data to identify trends and issues, and look for ways to improve existing processes. This is a role for a structured, proactive executor who demonstrates ownership beyond assigned tasks and is eager to grow into broader account management responsibilities. You are expected to have a voice within the team, share your opinion and position, and have judgment even when it differs from the others.
What You'll Do
- Commercial Execution; Ensure flawless execution of merchant promotions and commercial initiatives. Validate mechanics, dates, participating items, audience, pricing, engagement type, and funding before launch and track calendars, deadlines, spend, and pending inputs through completion.
- Marketing Activation; Coordinate merchant visibility initiatives across channels, including in-app communications. Request dates and creative assets from merchants, ensure artwork meets required specifications, coordinate Marketing and Legal approvals, manage briefs and approval flows, and follow up with merchants and Account Managers to ensure execution meets established SLAs.
- Financial Operations; Support merchant financial operations by coordinating invoices, payment documentation, reconciliation, and tax-related inquiries. Support recurring merchant-specific reporting and reconciliation processes where required.
- Account Operations; Maintain accurate merchant account and storefront configuration. Validate required inputs and ensure account structures, coverage, and merchant-facing configuration are correct and organized.
- Performance Tracking & Insights; Use data to understand execution and account performance. Apply a data-driven mindset to day-to-day decisions and flag issues early when execution is off track.
- Stakeholder & Process Management; Manage multiple merchant and internal requests with strong organization, consistent follow-through, and clear ownership of deadlines and SLAs. Communicate effectively with merchants and proactively identify opportunities to improve recurring processes and ways of working.
