About The Role

We are looking for current students to join Uber as a Strategic Operations Intern on the Postmates team for Summer 2026 (12 weeks)! As a Strategy & Operations Analyst intern on the Postmates team, you will help us achieve our strategic goals by conducting in-depth analysis and developing reports and insights that drive business performance. This role calls for a combination of fluency in analytical methods and languages including SQL, cross functional stakeholder engagement, and project management.

You thrive in ambiguous environments, and are a self-starter with a high degree of curiosity and track record of data based insights generation. You will have the opportunity to develop and operationalise solutions for the 'in the know' Postmates brand and audience within Uber Eats across eaters, merchants, and brand initiatives.

This program is based out of our New York, NY, San Francisco, CA and Los Angeles, CA offices.

# Basic Qualifications

- Rising Senior currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in data science, business, marketing analytics, or related field with at least one semester remaining after internship completion
- Base proficiency with SQL, Excel and/or Google Sheets; including report and dashboard generation, pivot tables, and functions such as index/match or vlookup

# Preferred Qualifications

- Proficient in Python, Tableau, statistical and programming languages
- Interest in financial or operational forecasting, consumer pricing, revenue management, or marketing and/or social media analytics
- Critical and structured thinking, with a natural curiosity and confidence to seek out answers, and propose solutions where there may not yet be an answer
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a diverse audience
- Strong project management skills, comfortable working independently at times
- Self-motivated, solutions-orientated, with a bias for action
- Strong organization and time management skills
- An interest in the future of on-demand logistics
- Awareness of social and cultural tastes and trends
- Entrepreneurial mentality as a builder or fixer of businesses or processes

Location-Specific Preferred Experience

- New York: Experience or interest in leveraging AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini or similar) to support analysis, insights, or operational planning for large-scale initiatives
- Los Angeles: Experience or interest in content creation, social media strategy, or brand engagement initiatives

# About the Team

The Postmates Operations team is responsible for growing the Postmates brand in select markets through new eater acquisition and improving engagement and retention of our active eater base. The team works cross functionally with many Postmates and Uber Eats teams, including marketing, finance, account management and product teams, to build and implement strategic operational initiatives to drive Postmates growth.

For Los Angeles, CA-based roles: The base hourly rate amount for this role is USD$27.00 per hour.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base hourly rate amount for this role is USD$30.00 per hour.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base hourly rate amount for this role is USD$30.00 per hour.
