At Trustpilot, we're on an incredible journey. We're a profitable, high-growth FTSE-250 company with a big vision: to become the universal symbol of trust. We run the world's largest independent consumer review platform, and while we've come a long way, there's still so much exciting work to do. Come join us at the heart of trust!

Today, we are an Engineering team of close to 100, with offices in Copenhagen, London, and Edinburgh. You can choose to work in office or hybrid, with the team getting together at least once per week.

At Trustpilot, we work and deliver as a team. The environment that we cultivate includes working with great people who support each other every step of the way, while at the same time encouraging you to bring your best ideas and contributions every day. Everyone’s opinion matters, and you can help come up with the next big idea that will bring Trustpilot forward. Join our team and shape the way we work. Are you ready to contribute to our mission?

We are seeking an Engineering Manager who can lead a team focused on growing and evolving some of our key partner integrations, shaping how millions of people experience Trustpilot. The team's mission is to empower businesses of all sizes—from sole traders to global enterprises—to seamlessly incorporate Trustpilot into their customer feedback workflows and tools. We aim to provide highly reliable and user-friendly integrations for popular platforms, including Shopify, HubSpot, Salesforce, and Meta (Facebook/Instagram).

As we journey through an increasingly AI-influenced tech landscape, we are seeking a talented individual to lead a team to further grow Trustpilot's consumer presence.

We understand that not everyone will have every single one of these experiences and capabilities, and that's OK. We encourage you to apply if you believe you have the skills and interest to thrive in this role and enhance the performance of our team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and grow a newly formed team (initially 4-5 engineers, scaling to 7) by establishing their identity, processes, and ways of working from the ground up.

  • Oversee the health and evolution of 20+ distinct integrations (including Shopify, Salesforce, and HubSpot), navigating legacy code and high context-switching with ease.

  • Initially, you will lead the team through a heavy support and maintenance phase, reducing "Mean Time to Resolve" and creating robust documentation/runbooks to reduce the "bus factor".

  • Transition the team from a support-heavy focus to delivering a high-impact Q3/Q4 product roadmap once the system foundations are stabilized.

  • Collaborate closely with our Senior EM, our Engineering Director, and our Product Director to align technical debt reduction with business value.

  • Developing and supporting a great team of skilled and motivated engineers through clear expectations, feedback and regular 1:1s.

  • Balancing delivery with sustainable engineering practices while managing risks and dependencies.

Your experience has given you:

  • A solid background as a Software Engineer, specifically with a deep understanding of APIs, Webhooks, and OAuth, before transitioning into the leadership track.

  • Practical experience navigating the complexities of the Salesforce ecosystem or major Ecommerce platforms like Shopify and Magento.

  • Familiarity with our modern tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, and React, alongside cloud-native AWS experience (Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB).

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams through transitions, ideally having managed experimental or "zero-to-one" initiatives before.

  • A track record of improving engineering quality by refactoring and redesigning existing systems to increase stability and scalability.

Who you are:

  • You aren't scared of a messy backlog. You find genuine satisfaction in untangling complex legacy systems and leaving them better than you found them.

  • You understand that maintenance-heavy work can be challenging; you are a leader who keeps morale high and ensures the team feels valued during repetitive or difficult phases.

  • You care about the end-user’s pain. You use that empathy to prioritize support tickets and roadmap items that provide the most immediate relief and value.

  • You thrive in areas without clear ownership boundaries and can pivot quickly when priorities shift.

  • You can see the patterns across multiple integrations and drive impactful, platform-wide improvements rather than just "patching" individual issues.

Some relevant technologies and services we use (this is informative, not requirements):

  • Infrastructure: AWS (ECS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, etc), Docker, CloudFormation

  • Languages: Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, Python

  • Frontend: React, Next.js

  • Database: DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery

  • DevOps Tools: Harness, NewRelic, GitHub, Kibana

  • Systems: Salesforce, Zuora

Experience in the following is not a requirement, but it will help you stand out:

  • Experience working within the Ecommerce (Shopify, PrestaShop, etc.) or CRM (HubSpot, Zendesk, Salesforce) landscapes, understanding the specific challenges of building apps for these platforms

  • Exposure to the Salesforce ecosystem

  • You are experienced in the world of integrations and APIs, and you understand the specific challenges of building products that rely on external systems.
