Overview

We are looking for a Jira-focused operations lead to own the technical administration, support, governance, and visualization of work across key initiatives.

This role will serve as the primary technical expert for Jira, providing hands-on support while ensuring strong data governance across Jira, Confluence, and Lucid. The individual will be embedded in sprint and program forums to ensure accurate tracking and high-quality reporting, without owning project execution.

The ideal candidate brings experience from a Big 4 environment supporting system implementations and understands how to bring structure, discipline, and control to complex programs.

Key Responsibilities

Jira Technical Administration & Support

- Serve as the primary technical owner and support lead for Jira

- Configure and maintain projects, workflows, issue types, fields, and permissions

- Troubleshoot issues and provide hands-on support to users

- Manage and optimize Jira performance, hygiene, and usability

- Support integrations and plugins as needed

- Train and support users on Jira, Confluence, and Lucid

- Drive best practices in tool usage and reporting

Jira Ownership & Dashboarding

- Design and maintain scalable Jira structures aligned to program needs

- Build and manage executive-ready dashboards and reporting

- Ensure consistent and disciplined use of Jira across teams

- Maintain strong data integrity within Jira

Data Governance Across Tools (Jira, Confluence, Lucid)

- Establish and enforce governance standards across Jira, Confluence, and Lucid

- Define naming conventions, data structures, and usage standards

- Ensure alignment between Jira tracking, Confluence documentation, and Lucid process flows

- Maintain data accuracy, completeness, and auditability

Embedded in Delivery Cadence

- Attend sprint ceremonies, program, and project management meetings

- Capture updates and ensure Jira reflects real-time status, risks, and dependencies

- Translate discussions into structured updates across Jira and documentation tools

Process Mapping & Documentation

- Develop process flows using Lucid

- Document workflows, dependencies, and controls in Confluence

- Ensure consistency between documented processes and system tracking

Qualifications

- 5 to 8 years of experience in Jira administration and support

- Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting or consulting firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG)

- Experience supporting large-scale system implementations (ERP, finance systems, or transformation programs)

- Strong technical Jira expertise including workflows, dashboards, JQL, and permissions

- Experience with Confluence and Lucid

- Understanding of data governance and control frameworks

- Strong PowerPoint skills for executive communication
