About the Role and Group Details

Tradeweb is looking to recruit an International Financial Reporting Accountant as entity controller to provide support on all financial aspects of Tradeweb's entities primarily located in the Middle East and India and oversee the financial integrity those Tradeweb's entities. This role will maintain financial and statutory compliance of Tradeweb's entities primarily in Middle East and India in a cross functional landscape, building working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and service providers, for example, coordinating with Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Corporate Accounting, Indirect Tax, Legal, Compliance, internal and external auditors, external outsourced accountants, company secretarial services companies and regulators externally. You will also support the global accounting function by providing accounting insights based on Indian Accounting Standards and improving processes.

This role is a key component of Tradeweb's larger finance function which operates as one global team across four different locations - New York, New Jersey, London and India. Global Finance is overseen by the CFO, based in New York. This role will be directly managed by the International Financial Reporting Manager in London who reports to the Managing Director, Head of Regulatory Reporting & Technical Accounting in New York and indirectly to the Managing Director, Head of International Finance in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements primarily under IFRS, local-adopted IFRS in the Middle East and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) including the preparation of conversion entries from U.S. GAAP to local GAAP and other statutory adjustments
  • Respond to internal and external auditors and handle audit requests as key point of contact
  • Prepare statutory and regulatory filings to regulators and companies registrar as required, for example, DIFC filings, FLA and MSME returns
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting team and service providers to reconcile financial records and perform P&L and balance sheet monthly variance analysis
  • Review the financial integrity of Tradeweb's entities in India to ensure all necessary expenses/ accruals, revenue/ receivables and assets/ liabilities recognitions are presently completely and accurately based on requirements in India
  • Collaborate with internal Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Payroll and Tax teams as necessary, to help ensure local statutory and regulatory requirements are satisfied
  • Prepare manual journal entries for current tax and deferred tax accounting
  • Collaborate with compliance officers on local regulatory matters, latest developments and obligations arising from new initiatives
  • Work with legal officers and company secretarial service providers to help ensure company secretarial obligations are satisfied
  • Collaborate with the International Finance team on new initiatives and ensure entity readiness
  • Understand and interpret current and forthcoming accounting standards to help ensure compliance with accounting standards for legal entities primarily in the Middle East and India
  • Assist in finance automation projects relating to global process enhancements


Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant
  • University degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant post university professional experience
  • Experience in preparing a full set of financial statements in IFRS and/or Ind AS and regulatory returns
  • Experience as an auditor or dealing with audit requests as a key point of contact
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and a strong team player
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge under U.S. GAAP / IFRS/ Ind AS
  • Experience with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, index match) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or equivalent)
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to improving processes.
  • Comfortable working remotely across time zones and collaborating with US/UK-based teams.


Nice to have experience
  • Experience in top tier accounting firms with commercial exposures from financial services, fintech, or trading firms.
  • Experience in entity controllership in a multi-national companies setting with analytical mindset
  • Familiarity with financial statement preparation tools (e.g. Workiva)
  • Experience in working with large/ complex datasets
  • Familiarity with automation or data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx).
