Role Description:
Tradeweb is seeking an experienced China sales to join the business (based in Hong Kong / Shanghai).
Tradeweb provides leading e-trading solutions covering multi-asset classes including Global Rates, Global Credit, Global Equities and ETFs and Money Market instruments - creating a one stop solution for clients.
The role will involve driving revenue generation from our client base, localization of our existing global product capabilities, the development of new products/solutions in China through building upon existing relationships and new client acquisition.
Success in the role will require strong sales experience with an extensive network in Hong Kong and Mainland China, and senior institutional relationships within the China FI industry. The ideal candidate will have similar sales experience within a financial services, e-trading solutions or financial information firm. The successful candidate shall have a proven track record of delivering outstanding sales performance.
In addition, the candidate needs to possess the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively; both within the APAC team and across Tradeweb globally.
Role responsibilities:
- As a core member of the team, assist the Head of China in formulating the China business development plan and take ownership of coverage key accounts from the China Banking, Securities, Asset Management and Insurance Industries.
- Drive and increase revenue generation from allocated account base.
- Leverage the Tradeweb core product strength to develop new relationship with key China accounts in both Hong Kong and Mainland China.
- Re-activate existing China clients in HK and expand coverage to key focus accounts.
- Work closely with TW Product Managers to drive product expansion plans with China FIs including but not limited to credit, global rates, China bonds.
- Participate in the new product development with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partnership with Marketing and local vendors to organize China-specific workshops, training sessions and annual award events.
- Coordinate with TW Client Service and Post-Trade Team (STP) in serving China clients; work closely with STP team and clients to complete post trade connection with leading OMS vendors in China FI industry.
- The role will report jointly into The Head of China and the Co-Heads of APAC Sales
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of Financial Services or FinTech Sales experience in Mainland China and Hong Kong.
- Established client network in Mainland China and Hong Kong
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Marketing/ Communications or equivalent
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (knowledge of other regional languages, such as Cantonese, is a benefit)
- Profound knowledge of, and strong interest in fixed income, rates and/or equities products
- Proficient with full MS Office suite
- Dedicated team-player
- Exemplary work ethic and eager to learn
- Strong communication skills and ability to perform under stress and tight deadlines
- Rights to work in Hong Kong (Citizen, Permanent Resident) or Mainland China (Citizen, Permanent Resident).
