Who we're looking for

Toyota's TMNA PE Paint Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Sr. Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage area project schedules for new equipment installation, new model introduction, shop capacity studies and overall facilitation with related plant production groups.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint Department's objective to effectively manage capital projects, new model introductions, and provide necessary support to ensure smooth daily operations. In addition, this position will mentor junior engineers and assist in their OJD.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage area project planning, implementation and follow-up.
  • Manage new model introductions (equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.)
  • Create scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the project
  • Create and manage cross-functional OP to ensure critical project milestone achievement and develop C/M as necessary to maintain schedule
  • Identify necessary investment and equipment modifications for capacity increases, model mixes, etc.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an Engineering Field, Engineering Technology degree or 6 years of equivalent experience
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting) - Intermediate
  • 5+ years of experience in high-volume automotive Paint manufacturing environment (TNA Production Engineering or NAMC- North American Manufacturing Company PE preferred)
  • Experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors
  • Experience applying OSHA requirements, machine codes, and applicable standards
  • Experience leading members of a team (minimum of 3) on a project to achieve overall goals/milestones

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience with equipment integrations and associated controls knowledge
  • Experience with AutoCAD and CATIA
  • Experience writing equipment specifications
  • Experience with Ringi development and requisition preparation
  • Knowledge of MS Project- Beginner
