Who we're looking for

Toyota's Vehicle Margin Inventory Management Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Analyst - Inventory Management.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead & support Powertrain inventory activities, direct raw material of bill of material creation, direct raw material report, variance analysis, inventory management for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK)

Reporting to the Manager of Accounting and Finance, this individual will be responsible for overseeing powertrain plant operations and supporting vehicle plant activities. The role will assist the Inventory Management department in preparing accurate cost bills of materials by model, delivering monthly usage variance reports, leading physical inventory activities, and conducting inventory analyses to support fiscal and model year financial activities.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead TMMK Powertrain inventory activities, including execution of physical inventories, monthly cycle count and investigation of outlier parts.
  • Lead direct raw material analysis and reporting for Plastics, Paint, and Plastics Paint.
  • Analyze and resolve COGI direct raw material kickouts.
  • Investigate inventory variances by part to identify root causes and implement resolutions.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of Bill of Material for Plastics, Paint, and Plastics Paint.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure SOX compliance for DRM cost change summaries.
  • Lead Direct Raw Material standard setting for new fiscal year and model change.
  • Complete monthly accounting / journal entries for LOH, Direct Raw Materials & other miscellaneous items.
  • Lead and support TMMK physical inventory, including training plans, NA In-transit activities & line side verification process.
  • Lead reconciliation physical inventory book to count to ensure SOX compliance.
  • Respond to both internal and external auditor requests.
  • Assist Foundation of Excellence, Direct Raw Material section, in analyzing and improving costs.
  • Support Steel and UHF direct raw material reporting & bill of material creation.
  • Provide support for General Stores accounting and cycle count audits.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc direct raw material, bill of material, or inventory management.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent analytical degree and background
  • Significant experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience, including experience with building, analyzing, and reviewing complex direct raw material Bills of Materials
  • Experience developing, managing, and executing detailed activity schedules.
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on creating, managing, and manipulating large data sets in Excel
  • Ability to prepare and present findings and recommendations to various levels of management, including Executives
  • Proficiency in SAP

Added bonus if you have

  • MBA, CPA
  • Direct experience maintaining and analyzing Toyota vehicle Bills of Materials (BoM) using the eBoM system
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in eBoM, Power BI, Toyota mainframe systems
  • JKK and TBP certification
