Who we're looking for
Toyota's Business Technology Platform (BTP) Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated SAP Functional - Controlling.
The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver ERP Business Process Knowledge and SAP Expertise that enables business community to make timely and efficient business and priority decisions. In this role, the SAP Functional - Controlling team member will apply strong hands-on experience configuring and developing SAP Controlling (CO) solutions, with a focus on month-end close allocation processes.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will support the Business Technology Platform (BTP) department's objective to lead the resolution of incidents related to SAP Controlling (CO), ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
What you'll be doing
- Incident Management: Handling complex incidents, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing timely resolutions to maintain system stability.
- Functional Specs & Gap Analysis: Writing detailed functional specifications that document the requirements and customizations. Demonstrating skills in conducting gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business needs and SAP configurations or code.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce incident volume over time.
- Manage and coordinate tasks between onshore and offshore Application Management Services (AMS) teams.
- Ensure timely and effective communication across all teams to align on objectives and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and lead the implementation of new features.
- Oversee configuration and development activities within the SAP Controlling (CO) space.
- Develop and implement monitoring practices within the Controlling (CO) process.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and drive efficiency.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience in SAP Controlling (CO) module, including configuration with strong working hands-on experience in period end allocations.
- Strong experience in Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Material Ledger
- Good working knowledge running testing automation tools, Intermediate Documents (IDOCs), Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW)
- Strong understanding of integration between SAP Controlling (CO) and other SAP modules (FI, MM, PP, SD)
- Proven experience owning a product in agile or hybrid environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence at the executive level

- Master's degree in computer science or management
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- SAP Functional Certification (Controlling, S4HANA Cloud Private Edition for Management Accounting, etc.)
