Who we're looking for
Toyota's Assembly Engineering Team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Process/Production Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support Assembly Production:
- Daily issues occurring involving safety, quality, and productivity.
- Improvement and change point projects.
- Cost and efficiency projects.
This position is based in Princeton, IN. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.
What you'll be doing
- Lead cross functional teams consisting of production, safety, conveyance, maintenance, inspection, and quality engineering.
- Provide technical assistance to production to support process improvement activity.
- Provide tools/knowledge and act as a check group to assure all activity meets TMMI's safety standards as well as OSHA requirements.
- Gather detailed data quickly to make decisions daily that can affect the quality of the vehicle.
- Utilize engineering principles to resolve day-to-day concerns.
- possess good communication skills for conversing with all levels at TMMI.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Engineering Technology or 5+ years of equivalent professional engineering experience
- Manufacturing experience in an engineering position, Co-Op/Internship/professional experience applicable
- Experience leading or managing technical projects
- Experience with Modeling Software, such as SolidWorks, Inventor or similar, including the ability to read, interpret and modify drawings
Added bonus if you have
- Experience leading cross functional teams for safety, quality, and productivity improvements
- Experience providing technical assistance to production to support process improvement activities
- Experience with OSHA and ANSI requirements
- Automotive manufacturing experience in an engineering position.
- Assembly or Quality Engineering Experience
- Experience with Torque and tightening management and analytics experience
- Experience with Web Development, Power Apps, or Power BI development
- Equipment FMEA or machine reliability experience
