Who we're looking for
Toyota Financial Services Bank (TFSB) is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Financial Reporting Manager.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure TFSB's quarterly and annual financial reporting is complete, accurate, timely; offering insightful financial information that drives strategic decision-making and supports business growth.
Reporting to the National Manager - TFSB Accounting & Financial Reporting, you will play a key role in advancing Toyota Financial Services' mission to deliver exceptional financial transparency, strengthen internal controls, and enhance business performance. You will also spearhead the modernization of our financial reporting processes with a strong focus on understanding and meeting our customers' evolving needs.
What you'll be doing
As the Financial Reporting Manager, you will balance detailed financial analysis with leadership and collaboration across teams. Success means delivering high-quality financial reports that empower business leaders and stakeholders to make informed decisions and drive growth.
- Own the end-to-end financial reporting process, including reviewing and submitting quarterly IFRS and Japan GAAP reporting packages to Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Toyota Financial Services Corporation (TFSC).
- Prepare and review the Company's annual financial statements, ensuring transparency and compliance.
- Ensure the accuracy and strength of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business units to translate financial data into actionable insights that support strategic initiatives.
- Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Champion Toyota's customer-first and innovative mindset by aligning financial reporting with broader business goals and customer needs.
- Spearhead the modernization of financial reporting processes, focusing on delivering value and clarity to internal and external stakeholders.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting or accounting roles, with 2+ years of proven leadership experience.
- Proven ability to analyze financial information, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.
Added bonus if you have
- MBA or relative advanced degree
- CPA license
- Financial services and/or banking experience
- Public accounting experience.
- Knowledge of IFRS (international financial reporting standards)
- Experience with SAP and Hyperion or similar ERP and financial reporting software systems
