Who we're looking for

Toyota North Carolina (TBMNC) is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Finance Cost Management Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the forecasting, financial analysis, and cost functions for Battery Manufacturing before and after construction, which includes Hybrid Electric and Battery Electric Modules.

Reporting to the Accounting and Finance Manager, the person in this role will support the Manufacturing Shop Departments and other sections of A&F, as well as Production Control, Indirect Procurement, Toyota Motor Corp., and North American Manufacturing Plants.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead cost management efforts by coordinating budgets, analyzing cost reports, and responding to cost inquiries with actionable insights.
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, including accruals and journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze variances between actual costs, budgets, and forecasts to identify opportunities for cost control and efficiency.
  • Review and route operating ringis to support smooth plant operations and financial integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production Control, Indirect Procurement, and North American Manufacturing Plants to align financial goals.
  • Innovate and help develop standardized processes and reporting tools tailored for new Battery Manufacturing initiatives.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field that provides a strong foundation in financial principles.
  • Previous relevant work, co-op, or internship experience.
  • Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience, including Cost and usage variance analysis and standard cost development.
  • Experience supporting Monthly Close Processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel.

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting manufacturing operating expenses.
  • Automotive manufacturing industry experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience with SAP Financials and BPC Planning for SAP.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and presentation skills.
