Who we're looking for
Toyota's Production Engineering Powertrain Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare, coordinate engine / transmission machining and assembly lines to support new model launches at North America Manufacturing Company (NAMC).

Reporting to the Engineering Manager of Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia (TMMWV) satellite, the person in this role will support the Powertrain department's objective to execute Capital Projects from planning through Start of Production (SOP).
What you'll be doing
- Developing operating process plans to machine or assemble parts for assigned area of the Powertrain department
- Leading, planning, procurement, installation, trial, and launching of engine/transmission machining or assembly lines
- Creating and maintaining schedule and budget for assigned area
- Lead and participate in cross functional working groups across local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals
- Develop / improve standard tools and benchmarks
- Visualize activity plans and schedules to facilitate quick consensus building to secure project priorities
- Analyze critical manufacturing issues and clearly communicate root cause and countermeasure plans to stakeholders
What you bring
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or Engineering Technology or 5+ years equivalent experience
- Experience in process engineering, including schedule and budget management
- Experience in planning, implementation, and production support for mass production lines greater than 9K capacity per month
- 3D Cad experience including the ability to read and interpret
- Project management experience dealing with capital investments greater than $500K
- Willingness to work required overtime and travel as needed both domestic and international
- Flexibility for business travel, both domestic and international, up to 20%
- Willing to work weekend and shutdown work (such as July and December holidays) as needed
Added bonus
- Toyota experience
- Experience planning or mass production support
- Experience in automotive powertrain manufacturing (assembly and machining) dealing with engines or transmissions
- Experience in equipment design, build, and set-up procedure
- Machining or Assembly layout planning experience
- Machining or Assembly process planning experience
- AutoCAD experience including the ability to read, interpret and modify
