Overview
This fellowship provides a comprehensive overview of Sustainable Development's key pillar focus areas: workforce development, business & community engagement, community development, and sustainability. The goal is to create a meaningful experience that deepens the fellows' understanding of the key areas of business for SDD, its impact/intersection with all business units within Toyota and the impact of the work overall.

May 18th, 2026 - August 7th, 2026 (Tentative)
What You'll be Doing
- Implement engagement strategies for an assigned group of partners in education, workforce development, mobility access, and environmental stewardship.
- Utilize reporting systems and established KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of key community engagement partnership programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with key goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate key logistics for various SDD internal and external events, including collaborating with cross-functional teams and securing legal documentation and approvals as required
- Gain insight and exposure to core SDD initiatives such as Way Forward Fund, Driving Possibilities, Toyota 4 Good, TLMODA, Mini-Makers Garage, BPGs etc. by participating in scheduled "Go and See" opportunities
- Represent SDD and the team at sponsored company events and company business meetings.
- Identify a core kaizen project within SDD that you will deliver a final evaluation/recommendation for during final week of fellowship
- Partner w/ BCE team on the planning, development and execution of the annual TLMODA/Salvation Army/Walmart back to school backpack initiative
- Develop a personal Experience Map and participate in key networking events/opportunities within SDD and within other areas of TMNA
- Coordinate a brief "Go and See" Activity to interview (1) key leader in each SDD Pillar to gain a deeper understanding of each team - interview highlights should be utilized as part of final fellowship presentation
- Engaging in various projects and tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have the right to work in the United States and not require Toyota sponsorship for immigration-related employment (including, but not limited to H-1B, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, TN, or F-1 OPT extension) now or in the future
- Minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher
- Must have completed at least one full academic year at a two- or four-year college or university post-high school (sophomore standing or above)
- Ability to work collaboratively across the organization and independently while managing multiple projects, prioritizing work and meeting deadlines.
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited Bachelor's degree program majoring in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Education, Non-Profit Management or similar fields.
