You are excited to balance the art and science of the buy with a strong editorial eye and take interest in being highly strategic with design-driven products. You demonstrate expertise in developing and executing comprehensive category strategies across multiple product lines, driving growth, profitability, and brand alignment. You are adept at translating consumer insights and data analysis into actionable assortment, pricing, and inventory plans. Your strong suit is leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment and you have delivered exceptional business results while maintaining a clear and compelling brand vision.
A Day in the Life:
The typical day is... atypical. You will serve as the leader for the buying team for the ecommerce website at Tory Burch and create and execute product strategies to meet and exceed financial plans for all departments on the website. You will build cross-functional partnerships with members the Global Merchandising, Planning, Site Merchandising, Creative Marketing, Digital Marketing and Creative Services. You will also analyze & hindsight business on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to inform future buying decisions and product action plans. You will develop a team of buyers who have a passion for the business and create development plans to for their long-term career goals. The consistent thread is that you'll be working with an amazing team of women and men who share your passion for excellence.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Serve as leader of the buying team for the Ecommerce website for Tory Burch North America. Key skills include developing, executing, and communicating product strategies to meet or exceed financial goals for all departments within ECNA business.
- Build effective cross-functional partnerships with team members in Global Merchandising, Planning, Site Experience, Creative Marketing, Digital Marketing and Creative Services;
- Train, develop, and retain both direct and indirect reports.
- Bring expertise in understanding market trends and influence all cross functional teams to support across digital channels
Financial
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews to inform buying decisions and product strategies.
- Optimize full-price vs. markdown strategy and product lifecycle management to maximize profitability.
- Drive category growth while protecting brand positioning.
- Partner with planning teams on MFR/OTB meetings to align financial plans and product strategies.
- Analyze category performance using KPIs such as conversion rate, traffic, CTR, email revenue, and digital marketing ROI.
Product & Category Strategy
- Develop seasonal buying strategies aligned with marketing campaigns and brand messaging.
- Translate data insights into actionable product plans.
- Work with merchandising on exclusive products, capsules, and key launches.
- Ensure balanced assortments that reflect both global brand positioning and local market performance.
Digital & Marketing Integration
- Collaborate with digital marketing teams to drive traffic and conversion.
- Coordinate with site merchandising, email, and creative teams to promote key items.
- Plan online product placements and visual assets during the buying stage.
Competitive & Market Analysis
- Conduct competitive site audits quarterly.
- Identify market opportunities and weaknesses relative to competitors.
- Maintain strategic advantage through product and assortment planning.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Align teams across planning, merchandising, marketing, site, and creative.
- Advocate for digital channel needs within global merchandising teams.
- Lead discussions and decisions using data-driven insights
Talent Development
- Manage and develop direct reports.
- Provide coaching, performance reviews, and career guidance.
- Foster collaboration and team success.
- Act as a leader within the buying organization.
To Land This Role:
- 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in dynamic retail organizations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Strong collaboration and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong Analytical and business acumen skills for both pre and post, time of buy
- Advanced efficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong presentation skills

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is 195,000.00 USD - 260,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
