This Role is Tailor-Made for You Because:
The Project Manager, Store Design, supports the full store design process for Full Price, Off Price, and Travel Retail formats across international markets. This role combines creative problem‑solving, technical design expertise, and disciplined project management to deliver elevated retail environments that reflect the brand's identity and meet business, operational, and regional requirements. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who anticipates obstacles, proposes clear solutions, and excels at balancing design intent with cost, feasibility, and schedule. The Project Manager thrives in a fast‑moving, collaborative environment and enjoys partnering with cross‑functional teams to bring concepts to life while maintaining global consistency and high standards.
A Day in the Life:
The typical day is... atypical. Responsibilities will include the following:
Project Management
- In partnership with the VP, Store Design, manage the full lifecycle of store design projects-from conceptual design through store opening-across multiple regions and store formats.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and operational requirements.
- Conduct site visits to review progress, address field issues, and ensure execution aligns with approved design intent.
- Provide consistent project updates, documentation, and next steps to internal stakeholders and international partners.
Design Development
- Develop conceptual designs including floor plans, storefront renderings, and layout proposals for early‑stage review.
- Translate business and operational needs into compelling spatial solutions, including SKU capacity, FOH presentation, BOH flow, product display, shelving layouts, and lighting strategies.
- Support enhancements to global design standards, guidelines, and processes to improve consistency and scalability across markets.
Budget & Schedule Management
- Develop, track, and manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring design solutions meet cost parameters.
- Proactively identify risks or constraints and adjust scope, materials, or scheduling as needed.
- Source and specify finishes, materials, and fixtures that meet quality, budget, and delivery requirements.
Technical Documentation & Coordination
- Review and comment on architectural drawing sets including landlord packages, bid sets, and IFC (Issue for Construction) drawings.
- Evaluate millwork shop drawings for new and existing fixtures, assessing functionality, mechanics, structural integrity, lighting details, and material choices.
- Manage the design approval process with landlords, providing timely feedback, updates, and clarifications to ensure alignment with brand standards.
Cross‑Functional & International Collaboration
- Work closely with regional partners to ensure local business needs align with global brand direction.
- Collaborate across Retail, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, IT, Construction, and Procurement to ensure all requirements are incorporated into final designs.
- Communicate effectively across time zones through drawings, photos, virtual meetings, and detailed documentation.
- Adapt global guidelines to local constraints while maintaining design integrity and functionality.
Problem Solving & Risk Mitigation
- Anticipate challenges and provide multiple solution paths that balance design goals, feasibility, and cost.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues using sound judgment and clear communication.
- Align stakeholders around solutions that keep projects advancing efficiently and maintain design excellence.
To Land This Role:
- Bachelor's degree. Architecture or interior design degree preferred but not required
- 7 years of experience in a Project Manager position for retail projects
- Experience in both traditional design firms and field construction strongly preferred
- Portfolio showcasing both conceptual design and built project experience
- Ability to develop concept sketches and work efficiently within tight timelines
- Experience supporting international retail markets preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and follow‑up skills
- Comfortable collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones and working flexibly as needed to support international meetings and project timelines.
- Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects across varying phases
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross functional team environment.

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is 95,000.00 USD - 130,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
