A Day in the Life:

Position Summary / SUMMARY

You will be responsible for providing assistant support within the MD team, primarily focusing on product-related data management, numerical analysis, and the preparation of various reports and materials.

Working closely with internal departments such as Marketing, PR, E-commerce, Retail, and VM, this role supports overall MD operations, including product management, sales performance monitoring, and the creation of internal and store-facing materials.

Under the direction of the MD team, you will manage order, inventory, and sales data, and execute tasks accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive support for the Outlet MD team
• Prepare Monthly Sales Reports (PowerPoint)
• Create line lists by collection (Excel) and sell-through reports
• Support the preparation of collection materials for internal use and retail stores (PowerPoint)
• Regularly check and track delivery schedules and inbound product status
• Conduct product assortment research on competitor brands and prepare reports

Cost Implications:
As shown below, when comparing the current cost of the agency temp worker with the market benchmark for direct employment, direct hiring would result in a lower cost. In addition, since in Japan we structure contracts so that no overtime is paid for the first 30 hours, we can also achieve further cost savings from the overtime expenses that were previously incurred with the agency worker.

Agency Temp Worker: 448,000 JPY per month (hourly rate: 2,800 JPY, 5,376,000 JPY per year, assuming no overtime)
Fixed-term employee: 380,00 JPY per month (hourly rate: 2,375 JPY, 4,560,000 JPY per year, assuming no overtime)* 0.96 of P50
(For the fixed-term employee, the monthly salary includes 30 hours of deemed overtime, allowing further reduction in overtime costs.)

Background
Shiho has been supporting Tory Burch's MD operations as an Agency Temp Worker in the role of MD Assistant since March 2023. However, under Japan's Worker Dispatch Law, an Agency Temp Worker cannot continue in the same role for more than three years, and therefore she is expected to leave the company.

We currently have a suitable successor candidate within our own network, and by hiring directly, we aim to achieve cost savings while ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities and minimizing any impact on TBJ's MD operations.
