User Operations Manager, TikTok Games - USDS
Responsibilities
Team Introduction
The US Game User Operation team is the voice of the player within the studio. We manage high-level escalations, analyze community sentiment, and partner with the product team to turn user friction into smoother gameplay experiences.
We are looking for a data-driven and player-centric User Product Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be the "voice of the player" within the development studio. You will analyze user behavior, manage feedback loops, and collaborate with designers to optimize the player journey, improve retention, and refine the overall product experience.
Responsibilities
- User Feedback & Insight: Synthesize qualitative feedback from community channels, surveys, and support tickets into actionable product requirements.
- Product Optimization: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DAU, Retention (D1/D7/D30), and Churn. Identify friction points in the user experience and propose product solutions.
- Feature Advocacy: Work closely with Game Designers and Engineers to prioritize the roadmap based on user needs and operational feasibility.
- Live Ops Support: Design and oversee in-game events, store updates, and user-facing communications to ensure they align with player expectations and product goals.
- A/B Testing & Analysis: Design experiments to test new features or UI/UX changes, analyzing the impact on user behavior before full-scale rollouts.
- Competitive Research: Stay ahead of industry trends and "best-in-class" UX patterns in competing titles to keep our product at the cutting edge.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher with 1+ years of experience in a strategy and operations role with a focus in areas such as user experience, customer success, VIP/loyalty program management, or community operations.
- An in-depth understanding of Deep understanding of game mechanics, monetization strategies, and player psychology.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in performing user segmentation, behavioral analysis, and/or churn analysis; you're comfortable pulling your own data in SQL or modeling in Excel.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, and translate high-level strategy into day-to-day execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years in product operations, live ops, or game production.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker) and SQL. Ability to turn complex datasets into clear narratives.

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $88000 - $202667 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
