The TikTok-Design-Effect team is dedicated to creating cutting-edge creative expression tools for hundreds of millions of users worldwide. Standing at the intersection of design, technology, and pop culture, we redefine social media creation through innovative effects and light interactive experiences. Join us to shape global trends and make creativity accessible to everyone.

1. Lead the visual and UI design for light interactive games, ensuring high-standard aesthetic output and providing intuitive, delightful interaction experiences for users;
2. Drive the evolution of TikTok's core toolchains (e.g., Effect House/AME) by grooming feature links and delivering compelling design proposals through professional visual and logical analysis;
3. Conduct deep-dive research into global user preferences, cultural backgrounds, and aesthetic trends (especially in overseas markets) to provide actionable design insights;
4. Build high-fidelity, interactive prototypes for feature proposals using coding (e.g., JavaScript, frontend technologies, or scripting) to enable real-device verification and rapid iteration;
5. Regularly explore and research global competitor features, distill core conclusions, and share insights with the team to support continuous product strategy optimization.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Possess exceptional visual aesthetic standards and solid design fundamentals, with a keen eye for color, composition, and detail;
2. Strong interest in light interactive games with a solid understanding of interaction design, balancing visual beauty with usability;
3. Proficient in coding (e.g., JS/Frontend/Scripting) with the ability to build deliverable real-device interactive prototypes beyond static design mocks.;
4. Strong logical thinking and self-driven learning ability, capable of quickly mastering new tools and technologies to enhance design productivity;

Preferred Qualifications:
1. High enthusiasm for AI technologies (e.g., AIGC, LLMs) with evidence of self-driven learning. Candidates whose portfolios demonstrate the integration of AI tools and design workflows will be highly prioritized;
2. A heavy user of TikTok or other short-video platforms with a deep understanding of global internet trends and the creator ecosystem.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112000 - $288000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
