Responsibilities
1.Research and develop new features on our cutting-edge RTC transcoding platform;

2.Design and develop multimedia programs for video/audio processing and encoding;
3.Design and develop multimedia programs on Linux platforms;
4.Innovate in Audio/Video processing algorithms to improve program performance;
5.Analyze data, tune and optimize the RTC transcoding software and service;
6.Participate in creating technical specifications and code review.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1.Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Computer Science, mathematics or a related technical background;
Solid knowledge of computer science, database and operating systems;
2.Good multimedia background such as image/signal processing, video codecs, audio codecs or multimedia streaming;
3.Good programming skill with at least one of the following languages: C/C++ or Golang;
Preferred Qualifications
1.Proficient in signal processing, video compression, video codec, video processing algorithms or GPU video encoding;
2.Proficient in network algorithms, such as congestion control, loss recovery, bandwidth estimation, latency measurement and control, socket optimization, or real-time audio/video transmission protocols;
3.Experiences in FFmpeg, libyuv, x264, x265, WebRTC, RTP/RTMP streaming or VoIP product;
4.Experience with any of the following media servers: nginx rtmp module, Licode, Kurento, mediasoup or Jitsi;
5.Experience with video chat, live streaming or video conference.
6.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136800 - $280000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
