TikTok Shop - Operations Project Manager, Sorting Center

Team Overview
TikTok Shop Sorting Center is dedicated to maximizing sorting efficiency and standardizing operations across our national distribution centers. By leveraging data-driven insights and rigorous quality monitoring, we ensure every parcel moves faster and reaches our customers sooner.

This role will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of TikTok Shop's Sorting Center in the U.S., from initial planning through go-live. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, automation, IT, operations, and local authorities to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of the facility.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a detailed project timeline for the fulfillment center build-out. Closely track key milestones (e.g., site handover, equipment installation, system integration) to ensure timely delivery.
- Partner with automation/equipment teams, procurement & labor teams, and on-site operations to drive alignment, resolve resource conflicts, and ensure seamless execution.
- Proactively identify potential risks across construction and system integration (e.g., permitting delays, supply chain constraints), and drive mitigation plans and decision-making.
- Capture best practices and translate project experience into scalable SOPs/playbooks to support future warehouse launches.
- Lead end-to-end readiness and acceptance, ensuring all hardware and software systems meet operational requirements prior to launch.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management (PMO) experience in logistics/warehousing, automated fulfillment centers, or manufacturing environments
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with warehouse construction processes, low-voltage systems, and automation equipment (e.g., cross-belt, tilt-tray systems)
- Strong ownership, resilience, and willingness to work on-site during critical project phases
- Excellent cross-functional and cross-cultural communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building warehouses or fulfillment centers from 0 to 1

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $109440 - $198360 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
