Responsibilities

SecOps Validation Team (STOV) is responsible for the tools and technologies that support the TikTok infrastructure. STOV oversees technical validation, security operations, and drives engineering enhancements, including the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security technologies across various domains.
This role is responsible for the design and development of security architecture and the implementation of technical controls, and validating them in alignment with security policies and regulatory requirements. Key validation areas include enterprise security at TikTok and securing the full-stack security lifecycle. This position plays a critical role in establishing a foundational framework to assess and advance the maturity of TikTok's security architecture. The role will also maintain and evolve security architectures across enterprise systems, endpoints, email infrastructure, data centers, networks, and CDN environments, enabling continuous validation and enhancement of security maturity.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and evolve enterprise-wide security architectures aligned, security frameworks with TikTok's global security strategy to support scalable and secure deployments..
- Implement and validate technical security controls across infrastructure components, including endpoints, email, data centers, networks, and CDN environments.
- Lead architecture reviews and threat modeling exercises to identify and mitigate risks across the full-stack lifecycle.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, infrastructure, compliance, and operations teams to integrate security early in the design and development lifecycle.
- Partner cross-functionally to evaluate enterprise controls for effectiveness and maturity; recommend improvements and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience designing and implementing controls across enterprise environments (email, endpoints, identity, network, email, CDN).
- Hands-on experience with security tooling and technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, WAF, DLP, firewalls, VPN, CASB).
- Strong understanding of threat modeling, risk assessment methodologies, and security validation techniques.
- Proven experience in automation for evaluating and implementing technical architectures.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and regulatory environments (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on enterprise and infrastructure security architecture.
- Experience in large-scale, global enterprises or fast-paced tech environments.
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure, such as container security, CI/CD pipelines, zero trust architecture, and secure access service edge (SASE).
- Knowledge of automation and validation techniques, such as policy-as-code or continuous control validation platforms.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $199800 - $374400 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
