Sports Program Manager, Content Operations, TikTok Japan
Responsibilities
Our team is on a mission to build and expand the sports content ecosystem in Japan, delivering the ultimate entertainment experience to our users. We collaborate deeply with major sports leagues (such as professional baseball and soccer), club teams, athletes, and sports creators to support their multifaceted success on our platform. Working closely with Global, Product, and Marketing teams, we design and execute strategic campaigns and programs tailored to Japan's unique market trends, striving to maximize the passion and engagement of the sports community.
Responsibilities
1. Lead Scaled Adoption Programs
- Own the end-to-end strategy, development, and execution of in-app campaigns and programs specifically designed for the sports vertical.
- Drive large-scale creator participation to increase the adoption of core product features and elevate the overall quality of sports content.
2. Product & Strategy Collaboration
- Work closely with Product and Global teams to localize product strategies for the Japanese market.

- Align on objectives and ensure the successful rollout and impact of adoption programs based on product roadmaps and data-driven opportunities.
3. Data-Driven Strategy & Optimization
- Establish and track clear metrics and OKRs to measure program success and creator adoption rates.
- Leverage complex datasets to monitor performance, derive actionable insights, and iterate rapidly on strategies to optimize impact.
4. Scalable Enablement Frameworks
- Develop and operationalize scalable enablement frameworks-such as tutorials, best practice guides, and communication playbooks-that empower sports creators to independently master new tools and formats.
5. Offline Event Management
- Design and execute strategic offline moments as part of adoption programs (education, community, creator enablement)
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in program management, product operations, or a related field within the tech, social media, or digital entertainment industries.
- Fluenct in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Deep understanding of the creator ecosystem, the creator product journey, and cross-platform digital tools.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to handle complex datasets and make data-informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in data-driven planning and management of successful user-facing online marketing campaigns.
- Experience collaborating with global teams across different cultures and time zones.
- A genuine passion for and deep understanding of the Japanese sports industry (e.g., market trends, key players, and content formats).
