Sports Creator Manager, Content Operations, TikTok Japan
Responsibilities
Our team is on a mission to build and expand the sports content ecosystem in Japan, delivering the ultimate entertainment experience to our users. We collaborate deeply with major sports leagues (such as professional baseball and soccer), club teams, athletes, and sports creators to support their multifaceted success on our platform. Working closely with Global, Product, and Marketing teams, we design and execute strategic campaigns and programs tailored to Japan's unique market trends, striving to maximize the passion and engagement of the sports community.
Responsibilities
1. Creator Growth & Enablement
- Serve as a strategic partner for sports creators, providing personalized 1:1 support or group-based guidance, including content reviews and growth planning.
- Elevate content quality by delivering educational programs and resources (e.g., best-practice guides, tutorials) that empower creators to master the platform, storytelling, and editing techniques.
2. Partnership Management
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with major sports management agencies, MCNs, and professional club teams (e.g., NPB, J.League).
- Act as the primary point of contact for agencies and teams to align on growth objectives, streamline onboarding processes, and drive joint initiatives to maximize the success of their talent and players on TikTok.
3. Athlete Onboarding & Consultation
- Lead the onboarding process for top athletes joining TikTok, ensuring seamless account setup and a foundational understanding of the platform.
- Provide ongoing consultation on account operations, trend-aligned content strategies, and in-app features to optimize performance and engagement.
4. Data-Informed Optimization
- Track performance data for assigned creators and define key success metrics.
- Analyze trends to identify improvement opportunities and rapidly iterate on support strategies to drive continuous growth for creators.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in talent management, sports marketing, creator management, or a related field.
- Fluent in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Proven experience in partnership management with agencies, creators, or external stakeholders, coupled with exceptional communication skills.
- Strong organizational and operational skills, with the ability to manage complex schedules and execute tasks with high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience in content production, editing, or creative direction.
- Deep passion for and understanding of the Japanese sports industry (e.g., Baseball, Football), including market trends, key players, and content formats.
- Demonstrated experience in short-form video production or editing, with the ability to analyze content and provide actionable feedback on storytelling and visual appeal.
