Specialist, Platform Manipulation Intelligence - Global Security Organization

Responsibilities

The mission of TikTok's Global Security Organization is to build and earn trust by reducing risk and securing our businesses and products. Also known as "GSO", this team is the foundation of our efforts to keep TikTok safe, secure, and operating at scale for over 1 billion people around the world. We work to ensure that the TikTok platform is safe and secure, that our users' experience and their data remains safe from external or internal threats, and that we comply with global regulations wherever TikTok operates.

In whatever ways users interact with us - whether they're watching videos on their For You page, interacting with a Live video, or buying products on TikTok Shop - GSO protects their data and privacy, so they can have a secure and trustworthy experience.

The GSO is hiring a Specialist, Platform Harms Intelligence, to join the Threat Management, Incident Response, and Investigations pillar working on proactive detection and intelligence production related to a variety of coordinated online harms on the platform.

Responsibilities:
- You will use your leadership skills and investigative and adversarial mindset to help us prevent, identify, detect, and mitigate coordinated harms networks and inauthentic engagement on TikTok and flag emerging areas of risk for cross functional teams
- You will author, disseminate and brief stakeholders on emerging trends, and perform social network analysis at scale to discover, identify, and mitigate the most harmful coordinated threats targeting the platform
- Help develop automated and AI-enabled solutions for a variety of coordinated online harms in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Conduct regular large scale data analysis and intelligence collection utilizing OSINT tradecraft

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience developing automated and AI-enabled solutions for a variety of online harms, including, but not limited to, covert influence operations (CIO), coordinated violent harms, and adversarial brand reputation campaigns
