About this role
We are seeking a Senior Tax Specialist, based in Mexico City, who can move fast and learn quickly to help establish and scale new processes for our Mexican portfolio, particularly on financial technology products.

This role will have a strong focus on Mexico tax compliance and operational tax matters related to financial services and payment-related products, including withholding taxes, VAT, invoicing, fund flows, and regulatory reporting obligations applicable to digital platforms and fintech models. This role requires a hands on, operational tax mindset, with the ability to move quickly, manage ambiguity, and support the scale-up of new products in a highly regulated environment. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to work on a global team with cross-border colleagues and cross-functional teams. Applicants should have a track record of being able to assist with the management and ownership of the end-to-end operational processes for the subject areas. The successful candidate will be a highly driven, focused individual that can work well with internal and external partners at all levels.

Please submit your CV in English, as the role requires communication with global stakeholders and the evaluation process will be conducted in English.

- Liaise with external advisors to ensure tax alignment.
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of Mexican digital platform tax rules, including seller/creator withholding frameworks, reporting obligations, and operational readiness.
- Support interactions with Mexican tax authorities (SAT), including responding to information requests, validations, and audits related to Mexican activities.
- Identify tax risks and operational gaps in internal processes and propose scalable, compliant solutions.
- Monitor and analyze tax judicial and administrative precedents that impact the company's operations and financial positions.
