Senior Product Manager, Vertical Ads Platform (Mandarin Speaker)

1 month ago Seattle, WA

Responsibilities

The next wave of commerce won't be built around static funnels or incremental workflow improvements. It will be built around AI-native, agentic systems that can understand intent, guide discovery, and help turn interest into action. At TikTok, we're building toward that future now.

We are looking for a Senior PM, Agentic Commerce Ads (Mandarin Speaker) to help shape the next generation of commerce advertising products. This role sits at the intersection of ads, AI, and commerce, with a focus on building advertiser-facing platform capabilities that make commerce advertising more intelligent, more intuitive, and far more effective.

You will work on the foundation of an emerging agentic commerce advertising platform - rethinking how advertisers create, manage, and scale campaigns in a world where AI can play a much more active role in matching merchant supply, shopper intent, and conversion opportunity. This is not about maintaining a mature system. It's about building what does not fully exist yet.

If you're energized by ambiguous 0-to-1 spaces, product wedges that can become platforms, and the chance to define how AI changes commerce advertising at scale, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:
- Define and drive product strategy for platform capabilities that power the future of AI-driven commerce advertising on TikTok.
- Build advertiser-facing experiences that make campaign creation, setup, and optimization dramatically more intuitive and effective for commerce advertisers.
- Identify major friction points in the current advertiser and shopper journey, and turn them into product opportunities with outsized impact.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, data science, operations, and commercial teams to bring new platform capabilities from concept to launch.
- Use customer insight, product intuition, and data to prioritize what matters most - especially in ambiguous, fast-moving spaces where there is no clear playbook.
- Shape product foundations that can support new forms of agentic, AI-assisted commerce experiences over time.
- Track key product and business outcomes, and continuously refine the platform based on adoption, performance, and market feedback.
- Stay close to developments across AI, commerce, creator ecosystems, and ad tech, and translate what matters into bold product bets.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

- Experience building and shipping product in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Strong product judgment, structured thinking, and the ability to turn open-ended problems into clear strategies and execution plans.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and drive alignment in fast-moving organizations.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin required: the role involves frequent communication with global teams, clients and stakeholders in English - speaking regions as well as Chinese- speaking markets. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to effectively engage with Chinese- speaking partners, understand cultural nuances, and navigate business transactions in key markets, ensuring smooth cross- cultural collaboration and market expansion.

Preferred Qualifications:
- You are a builder, not just an optimizer. You have created meaningful product impact - either at large scale or through a 0-to-1 breakthrough.
- You have a track record of spotting high-potential opportunities early and pushing them from idea to reality with conviction.
- You are high-agency: you don't wait for perfect clarity, and you know how to create momentum in ambiguity.
- You care more about real-world outcomes than polished process. We value the substance of what you've built and the impact you've driven more than a checklist of credentials.
- You are excited by the idea of helping define a new category at the intersection of AI and commerce.
- Experience with advertising interfaces, platform products, shopping/commerce systems, or growth products is valuable - but we are equally interested in exceptional product talent from adjacent domains who have built products that matter.
- You thrive in entrepreneurial environments, including startups, rapid-growth teams, or any setting where resourcefulness and speed matter.
